"Quit bugging my dad!" Drusilla snapped the moment Saskia mentioned her father, her mood souring instantly.
For years, Saskia's harassment had been a thorn in her side, but her snide remarks in front of her father turned him into the laughing stock of the neighborhood.
"Oh, you want me to stop bothering your dad? Sure thing! Just pay up for the medical bills! You think I'd let yesterday's incident slide?" Saskia fumed, almost wishing she could slap Drusilla right then and there.
"Medical bills?" Drusilla retorted. "You want money? Have Harlan pay for my son's hospital bills first!"
"So, you're planning on skipping out on the bill? Let me make this clear, if you don't pay up today, I'm not leaving," Saskia threatened.
Drusilla glanced at her and said, "Suit yourself."
She was in a hurry to pick up her kid and had no time for this nonsense!
Seeing Drusilla attempting to leave, Saskia immediately grabbed her shirt.
Drusilla looked at this obstinate woman, exasperated. Every time Saskia showed up, she had a knack for making things utterly uncomfortable.
She never imagined that Saskia, back when she was with Harlan, could turn out to be so brazen. These past years had been quite the eye-opener!
"Cool it, or you'll have me to answer to," Drusilla warned coldly.
Saskia was unfazed. "Oh, what? You'll hit me? Go ahead! Everyone's watching! I'm not afraid. Harlan might have let things slide because of old times, but I won't. Lay a hand on me, and you won't hear the end of it. Not only will you have to pay up, but you'll also be taking care of me at the hospital every day."
She said this with a smug grin, embodying the very essence of a street thug.
Drusilla, unphased, pulled out her phone and snapped a couple of pictures of Saskia.
Saskia was caught off guard by the sudden photo session.
Now Drusilla was even threatening her!
Seeing Drusilla so calm and collected only infuriated Saskia further. "You bitch, I'll teach you..."
As she raised her hand to strike, it was suddenly caught by a man's firm grip.
Drusilla was taken aback, seeing Oberon holding Saskia's hand.
"Who the hell are you? Are you that homewrecker? Oh, Drusilla, you've sunk low, living with your lover now?" Saskia spat out, venom in her voice.
Oberon frowned at Saskia's words, releasing her hand. Her remarks were indeed distasteful.
As soon as Oberon let go, Saskia, still struggling, stumbled backward and fell to the ground.
