Drusilla said, "It was my boss's assistant who bought it, and I brought it back."
She pulled out the box and showed it to her two kids, revealing a breakfast feast of pancakes and scrambled eggs, along with juice and milk.
The kids ate with joy.
Cormac said, "Mom, these pancakes are so delicious."
Drusilla asked, "Do you like them?"
"Yeah."
"Then I will buy them for you from now on."
"Why would your boss's assistant give you such a delicious breakfast?" Cormac asked curiously.
Drusilla replied, "My boss got sick, and I took care of him at the hospital. I guess the assistant wanted to thank me."
"Oh," Cormac said. "I thought he was trying to woo you."
Drusilla blushed and said, "In your eyes, I am a heartbreaker, and everyone wants to chase me, right?"
Cormac chuckled.
Colton sat aside, his big eyes fixed on Drusilla.
Drusilla looked at him and said, "Colton, why are you staring at me? Eat your food."
"Mom, you're so beautiful," Colton complimented.
Colton usually spoke very little. But his occasional compliments really took her by surprise.
"By the way, Mommy, the teacher said we need to buy new clothes," Cormac said.
"New clothes?"
"Yeah, for the performance."
"When do you need them?"
To think, they woke up to find Enoch hospitalized because of leg pain.
This situation gave Harlan a glimmer of hope! If something happened to Enoch, would Drusilla still have a place in the Taylor family?
It was unlikely the Taylor family wouldn’t hold her responsible!
Drusilla stood outside the door, sighing at Harlan’s knack for finding trouble with her. She was just fortunate nothing serious happened to Enoch, otherwise Harlan would indeed make her life difficult!
Enoch, sitting aside and listening to their conversation, rubbed his temples. "I'm tired."
Clearly hinting it was time for them to leave!
Lilith, taking the hint, said to Enoch, "Uncle Enoch, rest well. We won’t disturb you."
Enoch's predicament meant Drusilla's downfall was almost certain, no need for them to waste words! They just had to quietly wait for what was to come!
Oberon said, "This way, please."
Seeing them leave, Oberon also breathed a sigh of relief, unable to bear listening to them speak ill of Drusilla.
