Drusilla glanced at Enoch who said "I quite like her" as if it were the gospel truth.
Lilith couldn't believe her ears when she heard Enoch's words. Enoch was actually planning on keeping Drusilla by his side.
"But Uncle Enoch, this woman has already caused you so much trouble, and she even hit me. Dad..."
Seeing that she couldn't sway Enoch, she turned her hopes to her father. Her father had a good relationship with Enoch, so she could only hope her father would talk some sense into him.
Kendrick gave Enoch a look and asked, "You sure about this?"
Enoch had always been indifferent toward women, even Odette was purely to fulfill a promise to Wendell. So, why was he so invested in this Drusilla?
Enoch said, "Yes, I'm sure."
"But she bullied Lilith. I just saw her outside, laying hands on her." He had seen Drusilla grabbing Lilith's hair with his own eyes. Had he not appeared, who knows what this woman might have done to his precious daughter.
At this, Lilith immediately put on a pitiful face.
Enoch's gaze landed on Drusilla. He had heard about the incident outside. His hearing wasn't impaired.
He told Drusilla, "Come here."
Hearing his words, Drusilla walked over to him.
Enoch saw her solemn face and said, "Give me your hand."
Drusilla hesitated, not knowing what he was planning but still obediently extended her hand.
Enoch took her hand, his long fingers and broad palm making hers look tiny.
His voice was magnetic and gentle.
Everyone in the room was a bit stunned at this. Even Drusilla herself was a bit shocked!
Lilith couldn't believe it. "Uncle Enoch, what do you mean?"
The one who got hit was her, and now Enoch is worried about Drusilla?
Enoch didn't argue with Lilith, just told Kendrick, "Since when do kids get to interrupt when elders are talking in our house?"
Kendrick looked at Lilith, who quickly shut up. He looked at Enoch and chuckled, not blind to the fact that Enoch was making it clear he cared about this woman and no one was to mess with her.
He said, "Enoch, Lilith might be naive, but... your wife can't just go around hitting people, right?"
