Chapter 107
She didn’t want to ask Xavier why he had moved his clothes over, because she could guess he would just give his usu- al line,
“We’re not divorced yet.”
As Aveline was going downstairs, Helena was bringing Valentina upstairs to brush her teeth, and Valentina waved at
her.
“Goodbye, Aveline.”
“Okay, be good.”
Aveline smiled and patted Valentina’s head.
Downstairs, Xavier came out of the dining room holding a glass of water. When he saw her, he leaned against the doorframe, his dark eyes watching her deeply, but he didn’t speak.
Aveline gave him a cold glance and walked straight out the door.
Xavier smiled nonchalantly and said, “When Valentina comes down, I’ll drive you, to the studio.”
Aveline ignored him, walking out the main door without looking back.
She hadn’t driven back last night, so she had to take a cab to the studio.
Jasmine and Julian had already arrived and were drinking coffee. Seeing Aveline come in, Julian quickly poured her a cup of coffee too.
Aveline took it. “Thanks, Julian.”
Jasmine walked over and sat down next to Aveline. “Ava, that photo disappeared from the internet. It wasn’t you who asked Xavier to take it down, was it?”
Aveline was taken aback for a moment, then smiled. “How could I possibly ask him to take it down?”
Jasmine tilted her head thoughtfully. “That’s strange. Josephine deliberately uploaded it, so why would Xavier have it
removed?”
Aveline said lightly, “Who knows.”
Indeed, besides Xavier, no one else would have the influence to make that photo disappear from the internet. But it probably wasn’t Josephine having a change of heart and asking him to handle it; there must have been another reason.
Aveline added, “Xavier probably thought I was the one who posted the photo online, so he had it taken down.”

Chapter 107
Jasmine was shocked. “What?
He actually has the nerve to suspect you uploaded it?”
Julian also came over to the desk and sat down, glancing at Aveline.

He had only found out about the photo this morning when Jasmine told him at work. When he checked online, there was no trace of it.
Aveline smiled faintly. “It doesn’t matter anymore. I don’t care what he thinks of me.”
Hearing this, Julian gave Aveline another deep look. From her expression, it didn’t seem like she was forcing the words.
Aveline said, “Let’s get to work.”
About an hour later, Fiona arrived with the divorce papers. Aveline didn’t want to disturb Jasmine and Julian, so she took her into the bedroom to talk.
Fiona took a folder from her briefcase and handed it to Aveline. “Are you sure this is all you want? Have you decid- ed?”
Aveline gave a faint smile. “Why ask me that now, when it’s time to sign? I didn’t want a single penny to begin with. Since he’s giving me this, how could I think it’s too little?”
With that, she opened the folder and began to read the terms of the agreement.
Aveline trusted Fiona’s professional skills and knew she had already reviewed it thoroughly for her, so after reading it from start to finish, she picked up a pen and signed her name.
Fiona had originally harbored a slight suspicion that Aveline couldn’t bear to leave Xavier, but seeing her sign so de- cisively, she was completely convinced that Aveline’s heart had grown cold toward him.
Thinking about Xavier’s heartless and ungrateful actions, the fact that Aveline had endured it until now before leaving him just showed how devoted she had been.
Fiona put the agreement away and said, “I was going to set a time with Xavier to go to the Registry Office last night, but he actually suspected you were the one who uploaded the photos online. I got so mad I forgot about it. I’ll tell Gerald when I give him the agreement.”
Aveline nodded, “The sooner, the better.”
Once they divorce, Xavier can’t use the excuse ‘we’re not divorced yet‘ to stay at Parkview Estates and shamelessly sleep in the same bed with her.
Fiona scoffed and said, “You’re in a hurry, but I think Xavier is in an even bigger one. The moment I got to the firm this morning, Gerald cornered me, asking why I hadn’t brought the agreement for you to sign yet.”
“Hmph, I’m going back right now, I’ll slam the agreement on Gerald’s desk and tell him to get it to Xavier to sign im- mediately.”

When is the novel ending? It’s so unnecessarily long… not a single intimacy or connection just fighting and bickering from the beginning to end...
