Jasmine was going back to Parkview Estates with Aveline, but Julian felt it was inappropriate for him, a single man, to stay over, so Aveline had Helena drive him home first.

In the black Bentley, Xavier was resting with his eyes closed when the driver said to him, “Mr. Beltran, it seems your wife isn’t going back to Parkview Estates.”

“Helena wouldn’t get the directions wrong, would she?”

Xavier thought for a moment. “They’re probably dropping Jasmine and Julian home. Just follow them.”

Aveline had been talking with Jasmine and Julian the whole time and hadn’t noticed the black Bentley was still following. Helena couldn’t hold it in any longer and said:

“Ma’am, the master’s car has been following us.”

Xavier gave a half–smile. “It wouldn’t matter if I did. Even if you weren’t staying here, my wife wouldn’t let me in the master bedroom.”

Aveline shot him a look, annoyed by the smirk on his face, and said sarcastically,

“If you want to sleep in the master bedroom, you can just go back to Winslow Heights.”

With that, she pulled Jasmine upstairs.
