Chapter 659
Xavier sat on the living room sofa with the elderly couple and said, “I bought two villas at Sunset Glow Estates on Mount Ardwood, both in Aveline’s name. One is for you two. Did Aveline tell
you?”
Collin and Paulina glanced at each other, because Aveline hadn’t told them.
Xavier noticed and said, “She was probably too busy and forgot.”
Although he said that, he knew Aveline didn’t care about the two villas at all, hadn’t seen them, and had no intention of letting her maternal grandparents live there.
He added, “My grandfather said the weather is getting hotter. The scenery and air at Mount Ardwood are great, and it’s cooler than the city. We should find some time for our two families to go on vacation there and stay in the villas.”
Collin replied, “Have you talked to Aveline about this?”
Xavier smiled, “This mainly depends on what you two think. If you want to go, Aveline would of course be happy to take you.”
“You two haven’t been to Mount Ardwood, have you? It’s well–developed now, and the scenery and air are really nice.”
“If you go, you can also stop by and see the theme park project Aveline is working on.”
Collin and Paulina weren’t necessarily keen on going to Mount Ardwood, but they became interested when Xavier mentioned seeing Aveline’s project.
They had no idea Xavier had brought it up on purpose to spark their interest in going to Mount Ardwood. In reality, the project site was just a construction zone with a command post, nothing much to see.
Collin said, “We’ll discuss this with Aveline.”
Xavier nodded, “Okay. Once you’ve discussed it and set a date, I’ll arrange for a car.”
Paulina said, “There’s no need for you to arrange a car. The driver Aveline hired is quite good. No need to trouble you.”
Xavier replied, “It’ll be more lively and fun if our two families go together.”

Collin and Paulina didn’t say anything. After all, they couldn’t make decisions for Aveline, since she definitely wouldn’t want to associate with the anymore.
Aveline came downstairs, glanced at Xavier, and thought to herself that this guy was probably sweet–talking her maternal grandparents again.
Old people tend to be soft–hearted.
The four of them went into the dining room for breakfast. The elderly couple always ate light, and today they were having Plain Rice Porridge, a boiled egg, and a piece of boiled corn.
Aveline usually ate the same thing as her maternal grandparents.
Miranda was worried Xavier wouldn’t be used to such a light meal, so she made a bowl of Hearty Pork Pasta.
Xavier could actually eat light, but seeing Aveline get a bowl of Hearty Pork Pasta, he got one for himself too.
After a couple of bites, Xavier praised, “Miranda, this Hearty Pork Pasta is delicious.”
Miranda smiled and said thank you.
Xavier had been hoping Miranda or the elderly couple would say that if he liked it, he should come over often, and Miranda would make it for him.
In the end, only Miranda said thank you.
Aveline glanced at Xavier and saw a flash of disappointment on his face. She scoffed inwardly.
Her grandparents ate slowly, so Aveline and Xavier finished first. Aveline got up and walked out of the dining room, and Xavier immediately followed.
“I have something to tell you.”
Aveline replied coldly, “I’m not interested. You’ve had your free meal, you can go now.”
Xavier laughed. “You think I came here just for a free meal?”
“I really have something important to discuss. If you don’t want your maternal grandparents to know, then let’s go upstairs to talk.”
Aveline ignored him, went upstairs, and immediately shut the door upon entering her bedroom.
Hearing the door lock, Xavier frowned slightly, wondering if she really planned to keep this up
with him forever.

leaned against the wall, and waited for her to come out.
He took out his phone and sent her a text: I found out. The one who donated blood back then was Julian.]
[Babe, you were the one who asked Julian to donate blood back then, right?]
Why didn’t you tell me back then?]
[I never knew, and I never got to thank him.]
[Besides, if you had told me back then, I wouldn’t have been fooled by Josephine.]
Aveline was in the bathroom rinsing her mouth. She heard her phone buzz with messages but ignored it.

When is the novel ending? It’s so unnecessarily long… not a single intimacy or connection just fighting and bickering from the beginning to end...
