Chapter 41 The Miracle Surgery

#Finished

The anesthesiologist adjusted the dosage carefully, and Thea’s eyelids grew heavier and heavier.

Right before she sank into darkness, peace filled her heart.

Inside the operating room, the overhead lights flashed on.

Amelia stood at the lead surgeon’s spot, her aura shifting instantly.

“Start the clock,” she said in a calm, steady voice that echoed through the room. “Prepare to open the skull.”

In the observation gallery, doctors held their breath. Some even sneaked out their phones to record.

Amelia’s hand was steady as a rock. Her scalpel traced a perfect arc across the scalp.

“Drill,” she said. The nurse immediately handed her one.

With a buzzing sound, the bone drill opened a small, precise window in the skull.

Amelia’s movements were smooth and sure, without a second of hesitation.

Every motion was sharp, fast, and accurate.

“Oh my gosh,” one senior neurosurgeon whispered. “That incision angle is insane–so exact, so brilliant.”

“Blood pressure!

“Clamp!

“Scalpel number eight!”

The surgery went on for six long hours.

Amelia was drenched in sweat. Her assistant kept wiping her forehead, but Amelia stayed completely focused, not missing a single detail.

The doctors watching were awestruck. They felt lucky just to witness Dr. Ace in action.

This was something to brag about for the rest of their careers.

“Suturing,” Amelia finally said.

Normally, the lead surgeon would let the assistant finish the stitches.

But Amelia couldn’t trust anyone else, not when the patient on the table was her aunt.

So she did the final sutures herself, each stitch neat and flawless, like a piece of art.

“Operation complete.” Amelia straightened her back, her voice tired but filled with relief. “The tumor’s been completely removed. No nerves or blood vessels were damaged.”

The observation room erupted in applause.

Several senior surgeons broke into excited discussion.

“That was perfection! The cutting angle–unbelievable!”

“Did you see how she handled that blood vessel wrapped in the tumor? A miracle, truly

“No wonder they call her Dr. Ace. This surgery belongs in the textbooks!”

Amelia didn’t respond to the praise. She stayed focused, checking every post–op reading until she confirmed Thea’s vitals were completely stable.

Only then did she exhale in relief.

She told another doctor to go update the family, then quietly walked toward the changing room.

Outside the operating room, the Nygards sat waiting–restless, nervous, and pale.
