"You missed my birthday yesterday, so you can make it up to me today."

Without waiting for an answer, he grabbed Naomi's hand and dragged her to a party that Carter and the others had set up early that morning.

Naomi disliked such occasions, but she went along with it for the sake of appearances. She stayed long enough for photos and cake, then said she hadn't slept well the night before and left early.

"A servant at the Spencer family residence saw it. And Naomi left in Lennon's car this morning."

Carter let out a sharp hiss. "Wait, is Naomi actually into Lennon now or what?"

Zebulon's reaction was extreme. "Why would Naomi be interested in Lennon?"

"But Lennon's not bad-looking."
