It was a field she'd never been exposed to before, and like a newcomer stumbling into a new world, she was eager to become a part of it.
"We could design some levels in the game..."
Lennon didn't hold back and started explaining it to Naomi.
As Lennon spoke, Naomi felt a scroll unfurling before her eyes. Another world came to life, a small universe constructed by Lennon himself.
"That's a brilliant design!"
Naomi couldn't wait for this game to be released.
She was certain it would be a huge hit.
Lennon glanced at the time. "It's getting late. I'll take you home."
Naomi finally realized how late it was. "Okay."
After they left the restaurant and got in the car, Naomi started to feel drowsy.
The shock, combined with the earlier state of high alert, had left her feeling mentally exhausted.
Lennon saw her head nodding and adjusted her seat so she could sleep more comfortably.
Naomi shifted in her seat, turning from facing away from Lennon to facing toward him.
Lennon caught a glimpse of her peaceful sleeping face in his peripheral vision, and his heartbeat lost its rhythm.
Thankfully, he quickly regained his composure, merging into the flow of traffic. He kept his eyes on the road until the car stopped at a red light.
The light was long. He couldn't resist turning his head, his gaze tracing every inch of Naomi's face.
Her features were exquisite, each one perfect. Her skin was fair with a rosy undertone, making her look like a porcelain doll.
Lennon's gaze slowly drifted down from her delicate nose to her rosy lips.
Her nose seemed a little stuffy, and her lips were parted slightly as she breathed, a sight that made his heart soften.
