Chelsea barely had time to react before her date brushed her aside with a quick, “Just stay out of it.”
The next second, the two men were locked in a wild, messy fight.
Hector’s temper just kept getting hotter as he watched the other guy act all sweet and familiar with Chelsea, like they were some old married couple. He didn’t hold back at all.
It didn’t take long to see the difference between a cutthroat businessman who’s used to playing hardball and a privileged rich kid who’s never had to fight for anything.
Chelsea tried her hardest to pull them apart, but it was hopeless.
The fight only broke up when a security guard, who’d spotted them on the cameras, came running over.
But the real ending wasn’t in the parking lot. It was at the police station.
Chelsea was still in shock. The last time she’d been there, she was a witness in her professor’s cheating scandal. Now she was back, caught up in a fistfight.
Hector wasn’t just anybody either. As the CEO of Pacific Capital, he was basically a local VIP. The police loved doing drills at his company. The staff was always sharp, and management made everything go smoothly.
Nobody ever expected someone like him to end up at the station, all because he lost it over a woman.
A big shot like that showing up meant the chief himself had to step in.
They didn’t even sit in the waiting area. The three of them were taken straight into the chief’s office.
“Wait, is that Mr. McKee?”
“Yeah, that’s him.”
“What happened? Was there a fight? Over what?”
One officer coughed into his hand and whispered, “A woman.”
“No way.”
“Is she some kind of knockout?”
“Not exactly.” The officer pointed up, hinting at someone important. “She’s Riverdale’s daughter.”
