A Vow of Deception, A Vow of Revenge novel Chapter 239

With that, she glanced at Elvis. The look in her eyes softened instantly when she looked at him, but when her gaze returned to Tyson, it was once again glacial.

Before Tyson could speak, she continued, “You already know this, but let me make it perfectly clear. The man standing next to me is my fiancé, the man I love. So please, stop showing up and making a fool of yourself. Neither my fiancé nor I want to see you ever again.”

She gave Elvis's arm a little tug, a silent signal for them to leave.

As they turned, Elvis's eyes swept over Tyson, his expression a chilling blend of contempt and loathing.

“It seems to me, Tyson,” he said softly, “that you haven't had enough trouble yet.”

The words sent a shiver down Tyson's spine.

“Nona, please, just give me one more chance!” he shouted desperately after them. He tried to follow, but the bodyguards once again formed an impenetrable wall in front of him.

One of them looked at the broken man before him without a shred of pity. “Our lady made herself clear. What more do you want? Get lost.”

Tyson screamed at Winona's retreating figure, “Nona! Do you really think Elvis is some kind of saint? Do you have any idea what he's been doing behind your back? He's been systematically targeting Goodwin Enterprises! He's the reason for all my losses! He's been trying to ruin me!”

At that, Winona stopped.

She turned around and offered him a small, chilling smile.

“Is that so?”

Tyson's eyes lit up, thinking he'd finally gotten through to her.

His driver, seeing him on the ground from a distance, hurried over and helped him up.

“Mr. Goodwin, are you alright?” the driver asked, alarmed. “Are you feeling unwell?”

With the driver's help, Tyson finally got to his feet and stumbled back to the car. The faint scent of roses seemed to linger in the air.

His phone rang again. It was Celia.

This time, he answered. He didn't say anything, letting her fill the silence with her complaints. “Ty, why didn't you answer before? When are you coming back?”

“I'm not coming back to the Capital,” Tyson said, his voice stiff. “Something's come up with the company. I'm going straight to Seastone City from here.”
