There was a gossip group chat for the company.
From the first day the CEO brought Miss Moore in, someone had dug up her story.
Apparently, Miss Moore was the CEO's longtime crush, someone he'd been in love with since middle school. Their relationship was forced to a halt when she went abroad to study. But fate had been kind, and now the CEO had finally been reunited with her.
For the past month, Miss Moore and the CEO had been inseparable, arriving and leaving the company together every day.
Everyone was guessing a wedding was just around the corner.
Who was this crazy woman who just showed up out of nowhere, desperate enough to claim she was the CEO's wife?
The receptionist's attitude infuriated Janina.
"What kind of attitude is that? Your CEO promised me yesterday that he would sign. Hurry up, I'm in a rush." Janina slapped the document folder containing the divorce agreement onto the counter. "If you won't call, fine. Then just give this to Julius!"
Leaving the folder, Janina turned to wait in the lobby. As long as the receptionist delivered the papers and he signed them, their marriage would finally be over.
But before she even reached the lobby sofa, she heard the receptionist sneer under her breath.
"Hah, people still send love letters these days. No matter how well it's written, what's the point? So shameless."
Then, she heard the folder hit the floor.
Janina spun around. "Who gave you permission to throw that away?" she snapped. "Pick it up. Right now!"
The receptionist's eyes were filled with undisguised contempt. She wasn't afraid.
