"Catch them in bed? No, that'd be letting Johnny and Kaitlyn off too easily!"
Madison sneered, saying slowly and deliberately, "I don't only want their reputations completely ruined. I also want them to be unable to hold their heads high in Ardelisse!"
Stunned, Janet looked at Madison, who had suddenly become cold and ruthless.
Was this really her sweet, innocent friend? How had she suddenly become a villain?
Madison had no idea what was going through Janet's mind. She put Kaitlyn's phone down and said quickly, "Alright, let's get going. Johnny is probably going to get here soon."
Janet decided not to dwell on it any longer. She turned around and left the room.
As soon as she walked out, she spotted a familiar, accomplished-looking man standing in the corridor.
It was Brett, who Sam had arranged to stay with Madison.
When Brett saw the two of them coming out, he nodded to Janet before reporting to Madison.
"Ms. Quinn, I've switched the room number plates around just as you instructed. Other than that, all of Ardelisse's major media outlets will send someone over tomorrow morning."
"Okay, thank you. You should rest. There's no need to keep watch here for now." Madison thanked Brett politely before dismissing him.
Noticing that the number on the door had changed, Janet looked at Madison in shock. "When did you make these arrangements? I didn't notice at all."
"When she went to get the wine," Madison replied.
Hearing the elevator arrive, she immediately pulled Janet to the other end of the corridor. "Someone's coming. Let's go over there and hide."
The two of them soon disappeared around the corner.
At that moment, Johnny walked out of the elevator, holding his phone. He strode toward the room and checked that it matched the number he had received. "Found it."
Glee was written all over Johnny's face as he took out a master card key from the pocket of his bathrobe. He swiped it at the door before pushing it open and walking in.
As the door closed behind him, Madison and Janet emerged from their hiding place around the corner.
"What do we do now? Do we go back or what?"
Janet looked at the tightly shut door, then at Madison.
Madison let go of her hand. "One last thing, then we'll leave."
Janet was about to ask her what it was, but before she could, Madison walked straight over to Johnny's room. She reached up and flipped the number plate hanging on the door.
