Neil had already arranged everything in the presidential suite.

Gavin placed Elara on the bed in the bedroom and looked at his friend Aiden. “I’m leaving her to you?”

Given the urgency, Gavin wasn’t comfortable calling other doctors over.

He glanced at Elara, who had fallen unconscious, and nodded. “Don’t worry. My character might be questionable, but my medical skills are solid.”

Gavin didn’t respond and turned to leave.

Aiden put a pill in Elara’s mouth. After examining her, he had his female assistant apply medicine to the bruises on her arm and instructed: “Watch her here. If she wants to bathe after waking up, wait outside the bathroom door to make sure she doesn’t fall.”

Whoever drugged her was vicious.

If Elara hadn’t been a doctor herself and quickly suppressed the drug’s spread, she could have been seriously injured.

The assistant agreed.

Aiden added: “Call me immediately if anything happens.”

In the living room just beyond the door, the tense atmosphere was suffocating.

Gavin pulled out a cigarette, bit it between his lips and lit it, his gaze occasionally sweeping over Amelia.

Amelia was completely tense, feeling like she was being watched by a venomous snake that could deliver a fatal strike at any moment.

Her heart raced; she just wanted to leave quickly. “Gavin, now that everything’s fine, we can go first, right?”

Gavin rested one hand on the side of the sofa, his slender fingers holding the cigarette that glowed crimson red. “Amelia, you stay.”

His voice was ice–cold without a trace of warmth, frightening Amelia to her core.

Zane saw his targeting and stepped in front of Amelia, looking at Gavin. “What do you mean?”

“Didn’t you just say you wanted to do something to help Elara?”

Gavin casually flicked his ash and slightly raised his chin toward Neil.

Neil nodded, strode out, grabbed two hotel staff members and threw them in front of Amelia. “Amelia, what exactly did Miss Windsor do to offend you that made you put so much thought and energy into harming her?”
