Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 341

Beasley also moved to Klein’s bedside in an instant, but his eyes were fixed on Willow’s face, her cheek now flushed red from her frantic scrubbing. To an outsider, it might have looked like she’d been slapped. For Beasley, however, that patch of red felt like a vicious slap across his own heart, stinging and heavy.

“Dad!” Willow ignored Beasley completely, leaning close to her father. “How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?”

“I’ll get the doctor,” Beasley said, knowing she didn't want him there. He turned and left the room to find a physician for Klein.

Willow quickly lowered her voice and spoke to the caregiver. “Ma’am, could you please follow him and listen to what he tells the doctor?”

Though the caregiver didn’t understand, she was paid to follow instructions. She nodded without a word and hurried out of the room after Beasley.

Klein was awake, but his responses were sluggish. He struggled to keep his eyelids open and, after a long moment, managed to whisper a single word. “Dizzy...”

Willow’s heart clenched. “You feel dizzy?”

“Yes...” he replied weakly.

Seeing the distress on her face, Klein’s eyes filled with tears, but he forced a faint smile. “Don’t... worry...”

The doctor arrived shortly, accompanied by two nurses, with Beasley and the caregiver following behind. While the doctor was examining Klein, the caregiver moved to Willow’s side and gave a subtle shake of her hand down by her hip—a signal that Beasley hadn’t said anything unusual to the doctor.

Willow acknowledged it with a grateful look.

Beasley didn’t dare stand next to Willow. He stayed off to the side, out of her line of sight and clear of the medical staff.
