Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 343

The scent of the lemon worked, suppressing the wave of nausea in Klein’s stomach.

It was now the lunch break, and the caregiver, remembering Willow hadn't eaten, asked, “Miss Sheffield, are you hungry? I saved some lunch for you. If you are, I can heat it up in the microwave. However...”

She trailed off, her gaze shifting to the high-end meal Beasley had brought. The packaging alone suggested it was expensive and elaborate. She wasn't sure if Willow would prefer the simple meal she'd saved or the lavish one from the gentleman earlier.

Willow followed the caregiver’s gaze and offered a faint smile. “Yes, please. Thank you.”

“Should I heat all of this up as well?” the caregiver asked, gesturing to the containers Beasley had left.

“Yes,” Willow replied. She noticed milk and soup among the containers, both suitable for her father. Now that Beasley was gone, there was no point in letting good food go to waste.

With a clear answer, the caregiver bustled off to heat the meals.

“Dad, the doctor said your swallowing function is fine, so you can have some soft foods. Will you eat a little with me?” Willow asked, taking the nearly empty water glass from his hand and setting it aside.

Klein nodded with a weak smile. “Okay.”

After putting the glass down, Willow began to gently massage her father’s leg muscles, using the technique the doctor had shown her.

“By the way, Dad, how would Zoe know she looks like Mom?” Willow asked, resuming their earlier conversation while the caregiver was away.

Klein seemed taken aback by the question. He paused to think. “That doesn't make sense. The only person at the university who knew your mother is Mr. Bryce, but Zoe isn't one of his students. And he would never bring up your mother to a student he doesn't know.”

Willow thought the same, which only deepened her suspicion of Beasley.

“Do you have someone in mind?” Klein asked, noticing the look on her face.
