Burn Me Once Burn With Me (Ruby Grayson) novel Chapter 612

Night fell in the blink of an eye.

Inside Victor's research institute, a figure tiptoed in.

A black shadow crept up the pristine white wall, like a venomous python that had been coiled for a long time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

The shadow moved deeper into the building until it was swallowed by the darkness.

Much later, the lights in Victor's institute flickered on, then off again.

Meanwhile, Hayley and Fanny were already lying in wait at the factory exit Victor had specified.

"Is this really credible? He's working so fast."

Hayley crept to the corner of the wall, peering through the bushes at the grounds inside.

It was pitch black, illuminated only by the faint starlight and the occasional glimmer of lights from across the river.

After waiting for a long time without seeing any familiar figures, Hayley shrugged and pulled back.

"It's true, the progress is much faster than we anticipated." Fanny frowned, her expression serious. "But since Victor said so, he must have his own plan. Let's just keep waiting."

Hayley nodded, leaning against the car out of boredom.

Inside the factory.

Victor dragged Kemp along as they stealthily approached Domingo's dorm.

The moment Victor saw the single-story building, he narrowed his eyes.

Most of the factory workers lived in dorm buildings, but Domingo and his wife had been assigned to a bungalow, and it was shrouded by trees.

He glanced at the dense grove of trees, standing still in the windless night.

It was obvious they had something to hide.

But that was fine. It gave him an opening.

"Are you sure they're in there?"

He nudged Kemp's shoulder.

Kemp nodded. "My uncle investigated this himself. There's no mistake."

Victor turned to face forward. "You wait here."
