Rania didn’t know if she could find it in her to forgive her father, but her heart is in pain to see his condition. She didn’t want him to suffer, but she didn’t want to forgive him so easily either.
She was holding this grudge tightly, because in a way, if she let go and forget what Alaric had done to her, she would have disrespected herself.
The part of her that had been hurting all this time. She had not yet healed even now. She was trying to not think about it, but it kept bothering her mind.
‘I don’t think it’s a good idea to go…‘ Rania lowered the book to her laps, as she mouthed the words.
“Yes, I think the same.”
Rania startled when she heard Maximus’s voice. The king walked casually towards her, and she knew right away that she was in a trouble from the look on his expression.
It was an impulsive decision to visit Alaric at the dungeon without discussing it with him. He must have known from the guard that Rania came over. After all, she allowed them to inform Maximus. She didn’t want to hide anything from him.
[Are you going to be angry with me?] Rania wrote down. [I am sorry, I didn’t talk with you before I visited him.]
Maximus looked at Rania sternly and then cupped her face gently. “I am not mad at you, I only don’t want you to be hurt. And you are hurt right now.” He leaned over and kissed her lips.
Rania sighed deeply, she liked it when Maximus was being gentle with her, but she liked it too when he was a little bit rough with her when they were alone in the private.
‘I am not.’ Rania shook her head.
“Don’t lie to me, Rania. I don’t like it.” Maximus kissed her lips again, and bit on it, as if to punish her. “What do you want?”
‘What I want?‘ Rania mouthed with confusion.
“He hurt you again. Do you want him dead?” The only reason why Maximus kept Alaric alive was because he didn’t have time to deal with him.
Even if he had time, he would prefer to stay with his mate. He wouldn’t waste it on him.
He didn’t mind if he died in the dungeon, but apparently, he was strong enough to still be alive until now.
‘No. Rania widened her eyes in surprise. ‘I don’t want him to die.‘
“Then what do you want? Do you want to torture him?”
Rania then wrote something quickly on her notes. [Stop saying scary thing.] She pinched his arm lightly
because he didn’t stop suggesting something scary to her.
“Fine.” Maximus closed his eyes, defeated. He wanted to do something even more than just scary, but his sweet mate didn’t want it, so he had no other choice.
But after a moment, Rania tugged on his sleeve to get his attention.
Currently, they were in the garden, under the wisteria tree, as they watched the sunset. It was a beautiful sight when the sun disappeared behind the tall wall of the palace, and left striking hues at the sky.
[Can you give the same benefit like you promise Claire?] Rania felt bad. She hated her father, but she couldn’t shake off the image of his miserable life. She didn’t want him dead, even after everything that he had done to her.
Of course, there was time when she wished him died, but after her anger died down and she was no longer harboring such strong feeling, she felt sad.
“Do you want to pardon him? You are too soft, my love,” Maximus said, he voiced out his displeasure. How could he grant her wish?
But then, Rania’s next words made him speechless. [You can pardon Elena, Claire’s mother, why can’t you do the same to my father?]
Maximus found himself was speechless, but then he found a wicked way to turn the table around.
“I pardon Claire’s mother because she did a favor, a huge one in this matter. I can do the same if you are willing to do me a favor.”
Rania tilted her head, she looked at her mate suspiciously, especially with that devilish smirk on the corner of his lips. ‘What favor?‘ Rania asked cautiously.
“I remember that I have not yet managed to make it up to you. I will do it now… what do you think?” Maximus pushed Rania down, he smiled to see the surprise look on her expression. “Let’s see how you will perform. If I like it, then I will grant your wish.”
‘What?‘ Rania blushed to the point her neck had turned red and that only made Maximus wanted her even
more.
“My sweet mate, you tease me again.” He then whispered to her ear. “You shouldn’t have seduced me.”
Rania wanted to protest that she didn’t do such thing, but it was too late, Maximus had bit his mark on her neck, and Rania forgot what to say.

“I don’t want my child will be born from an unstable mother like her. Do something about her,” Gerald hissed viciously, as he looked at Jasmine with disdain.
They were so close to the border, but the problem was; the people that should allow them to trespass to the other side had been captured, and they could only imagine what would happen to them.
Therefore, they had been stuck here for two days.
“Shut up and leave her alone,” Killian snapped. He glared at Gerald. “Think of a way to get us out of here instead of wasting your breath on this matter.”
Gerald glared back at him. “Don’t you dare to tell me what to do.”
“Then, think about what you have to do yourself, because I don’t have time to think about it. You can’t even get us crossed the border,” Killian spat at him.
Currently, Jasmine was sleeping, using his lap as pillow, she was exhausted after she was having another mental breakdown.
