While waiting for her food, Rania went into the master bedroom in the second floor, where she laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling absentmindedly.

She caressed her flat stomach and imagined how her baby would look like. She wanted the baby to look like Maximus, because it would be great to have a beautiful baby like him. Rania didn’t think herself as beautiful though, she rarely looked at herself in the mirror, because she didn’t like her own reflection.

Her mind played this little game, where she imagined a little baby that looked like Maximus curled their tiny fingers on her front shirt. The way the baby would yawn or cry…

The thought alone brought a smile to her lips and this warmed her heart. She looked forward to have her baby here.

Right at that time, Cam knocked on the door and told her that the lunch was ready.

“Do you want me to bring the food here, my queen?” Cam asked very politely. He waited until Rania opened the door and he greeted her with a bow.

No one knew aside from Maximus, Karin and Eithen that Rania couldn’t taste any food. Everything was bland for her, but Rania wouldn’t lower their spirit by telling them that.

On the other hand, Cam was very excited to tell Rania everything before he finally caught himself.

“I am sorry, my queen, I talk too much.” He scratched his head and blushed again, embarrassed.

Rania shook her head, and then both of them went to the dining room. On the table, there were a few dishes and from the look of it, they must be very delicious.

Some time, Rania wished she could have her taste back. It had been so long since she could taste anything. but then she couldn’t ask for much. Her life was good now, she didn’t want to be greedy.

The only thing that she really wished for was Maximus’s safe return and her safe delivery, everything else that inconvenient her, she could endure it.

However, before Rania could cat, she watched how the three warriors stood at the side. Not only that, there was only one plate and a set of cutleries for her.

She then wrote something on her notes.

[Why don’t you sit down and eat?]

It was Ares who replied to her. He was way senior than the other two. “We are not allowed to sit and eat with you, my queen, that’s the rule.”
