Even in Darkness She Chose to Rise (Tatiana and Jasper) novel Chapter 112

Chapter 112: The Denial

She found herself unable to resist embracing the fragile, delicate old woman. In that moment, all she wished for was the woman’s health to improve, for her to live longer, and for the chance to leave this place together, far away from here.

Indeed, she was making plans to escape.

She was patiently waiting for the perfect opportunity.

This time, she vowed not to be as naive and reckless as before, when she was caught and dragged back without hesitation.

“Cindy, can I ask you something? Is there truly no chance for you and Jasper?” Jaime’s voice was tinged with hope, though Tatiana sensed it was fading.

Tatiana looked her straight in the eyes and stated plainly, “He’s already married.”

“Married? How is that possible?” Jaime’s disbelief was evident.

“Yes. I work at his company, and everyone there knows he’s married. He and his wife are deeply in love. Their wedding was even broadcast on television,” Tatiana explained quietly.

That extravagant wedding had captured the attention of the entire city. Jasper had given Bianca everything Tatiana had longed for but never possessed: a prestigious title, romance, and favor—everything out of her reach.

She had secretly searched online for news and photos of the event, staring at the images of that perfect day.

With each picture, her heart sank a little deeper.

She had poured everything into that relationship, only to be left with such a cruel ending. How could she find the courage to make the same mistake again?

Jaime’s anger flared. “How could he do that? Jasper is married, so how dare he come looking for you? That’s completely unacceptable! He’s so cruel—truly wicked!”

Jaime’s disappointment ran deep, and she continued to voice her condemnation.

Tatiana said nothing, relieved that Jaime was finally letting go of her hopes.

But before she could fully relax, Jaime shifted the conversation. “It’s okay, we won’t dwell on him. I have something else to tell you. The woman in the next bed has a son who’s unmarried. He’s honest, kind-hearted, and skilled in a trade. He’s perfectly capable of supporting himself. Why don’t you…”

Tatiana cut in, eager. “Okay. When can we meet?”

“If you’re willing, you could just get to know him first. Don’t be so quick to say no… Wait, Cindy, you agreed?”

Jaime was stunned by her immediate acceptance and stood silent for a moment.

Tatiana nodded with resolve. “Yes, I agree to meet him.”

Jaime’s face lit up with joy as she quickly pulled out her phone to arrange a meeting.

“Cindy, how about having dinner with him tomorrow after work?”

“Alright,” Tatiana answered softly.

Rather than refusing, she thought it better to go along with it for now.

After a few attempts, Jaime would likely give up.

The next day at work, as Tatiana prepared to enter and clean the office as usual, Rence blocked her path, pulling her aside.

“Don’t go in yet. The Chairman is furious.”
