Chapter 184 As It Was
But she was wrong.
If she hadn’t been able to win his heart in the four years Tatiana was gone, she should have known: Jasper had no heart.
“Since you love sending people to the rehab center so much, why don’t you go yourself?”
Bianca’s sobs stopped. She looked up, her eyes wide with terror, especially when she saw the door behind him open and two people in white coats walk in.
She understood immediately. “No! No, no! You can’t! I’m carrying your child! You can’t do this to me!”
His movement paused. He said flatly, “I’m not killing you. You will deliver this child safely.”
If he had tried to kill her, his parents and grandfather would have intervened. In that case, she could live.
Sometimes, living was worse than death.
The white–coated orderlies flanked Bianca, preparing to take her.
Her wails were piercing. “I won’t go! Jasper! She’s faking! She’s doing it on purpose! I’m begging you!”
But Jasper didn’t believe a word. In fact, it erased his last shred of doubt.
Tatiana cared so much about this child. If she weren’t impaired, how could she have thrown herself to the floor without protecting her stomach?
He had no idea that she no longer wanted him, or his child.
After her discharge, Jasper became even more careful with Tatiana. He was truly doting on her, afraid she’d break, afraid she’d melt.
The entire Jackson family staff saw his attitude and thought it was absurd. After all, her public identity was “Cindy,” his nominal sister. Even without blood ties, the relationship was scandalous.
The rumors began to spread.
Jasper ignored them.
“Jasper, where did you send Bianca? You can ignore her, but you can’t ignore the child in her belly!”
Marilyn and Barry came to his home, their faces masks of anguish.
Barry’s face was ashen. He slammed his hand on the table. “You must be out of your mind! Harming your own flesh and blood!”
Jasper’s voice was calm. “She’s not dead. Don’t worry.”
“Then where is she?”

His gaze turned cold. “In a sanatorium, focusing on the pregnancy.”
His parents exchanged a look, visibly relieved. “A sanatorium? Why send her there?”
“For the baby.”
It was strange, but far better than the alternative.
“Which one? Is it reliable?”
“You don’t need to worry.” He wouldn’t reveal another word.
Barry frowned. “And you’ve been too close to that ‘Cindy‘ lately. Watch yourself.”
“I know what I’m doing.”
“You clearly don’t! The talk outside is ugly. You…”
Jasper cut him off. “She is Tatiana.”
Barry’s lecture died in his throat. His eyes bulged. “How is that possible!”
Marilyn was just as stunned. “Impossible! Tatiana is…”
“She didn’t die. The body was a fake.”
The news stunned them into silence. Tatiana wasn’t dead? Cindy was Tatiana? No wonder Gordon had so bizarrely adopted a new granddaughter and doted on her. If it was Tatiana, it all made sense…
Wait. Tatiana?
This was a complete mess.
Marilyn was the first to speak. “Jasper, tell me the truth. What are you planning?”
What was he planning?
Jasper let out a low laugh and gave a simple answer: “Everything as it was.”

Marilyn’s teacup smashed on the floor. Her face was pale. “As it was? How?”
The legal Mrs. Jackson was Tatiana. But the public one was Bianca. How could it be “as it was“?
