Goodbye My Arrogant Ex novel Chapter 112

Marguerite couldn’t help but wonder: just how difficult was this job to leave Leonard so flustered?

“Leonard, try to get some rest. If you feel unwell at all, just call for me, alright? I’m not leaving tonight—I’ll sleep right here on the couch next to you,” she whispered softly, uncertain whether he was awake enough to even hear her.

As soon as her words faded, she stood up, ready to step away.

But before she could take a step, Leonard reached out and gently caught her hand.

“Don’t go,” he murmured. “Stay. Stay with me.”

His voice, usually so cold and distant, was now deep and warm, carrying a vulnerability she’d never heard before.

Marguerite froze, surprised by how natural it felt to hear him ask this. It was unfamiliar, but her body betrayed no resistance. Instincts don’t lie; her heart answered before her mind.

“Okay,” she agreed quietly.

She knelt down beside him, watching him in the soft golden light. For the first time, she really looked at Leonard—his sharply defined features, the flawless lines of his handsome face. There was a kind of allure about him that made her heart skip a beat.

She found it hard to look away, her gaze lingering as if she were trying to memorize every detail.

She wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but at some point, exhaustion from a long day finally claimed her. Without even realizing it, Marguerite drifted off to sleep right there beside him.

When she opened her eyes the next morning, she was shocked to find herself not on the couch but in Leonard’s bed. Even more embarrassing, she’d wrapped herself around him like a human pillow!

Oh no. This was bad.
