Goodbye My Arrogant Ex (Marguerite and Leonard) novel Chapter 192

“All right, it’s getting late. Tomorrow, let’s all go out together for a bit. It’s not often we get everyone in one place, so we should make the most of it.”

Leonard truly cherished these moments with his mother and grandmother. Their presence always put him at ease, making home feel warmer and more alive. Sometimes, he even enjoyed a bit of commotion—though his reserved nature rarely let it show.

“Sounds great,” Marguerite replied without hesitation.

The next morning, Marguerite woke to find Wilma already bustling about the kitchen. Breakfast was ready and everyone had gathered at the table, waiting to start the day together.

There was something different, something comforting, about having her family here. Marguerite relished the rare sense of togetherness.

“Grandma, Leonard said we’re not going anywhere today. We’ll just stay home and spend time with you. Later, we’ll all go out for a walk—since you’ve come all this way, we ought to enjoy it together,” Marguerite said warmly, her affection for her family shining through.

Just as she finished speaking, her phone rang. Glancing at the screen, she saw Luke’s name.

“Marguerite, there’s a problem with your company’s project. Laura couldn’t sort it out, so I had to call you. Can you come over?” Luke sounded unusually tense.

“What’s going on? I haven’t heard a thing, and that project’s always been rock solid. It’s supposed to wrap up soon,” she replied, surprised.

“All right, that works. If you want, send the data over and I’ll have a look,” Marguerite offered, ever diligent. She didn’t want anything slipping through the cracks on her watch.

“No need. I’ll get someone else on it. Enjoy your time with them. When I get a chance, I’ll stop by—it’s been ages since we last caught up,” Luke replied, not really intending for her to do any work.

“Okay,” Marguerite answered, keeping it brief before ending the call.

“Is Luke still busy running his company?” Grandma asked as Marguerite put her phone away.
