I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 124

His warm breath tickled her face, sending a strange, tingling excitement through her body. His tongue, cool and tentative, slipped past her lips, greedily tasting her.

Finally gathering her wits, she managed to say, “Mr. Bragg, I think I’ve experienced your kissing skills enough for one night. Please let me go.”

With that, she pushed against the floorboard, trying to climb out, but an arm snaked around her waist and pulled her back into his embrace.

This infuriating woman. She’d been stoking a fire in him all night, and now she thought she could just walk away? Did she think he was made of stone, that he was truly helpless?

“Ms. Lynn, since you’ve experienced it, what’s your verdict? How are my skills?” Jareth asked, his voice a low growl.

How dare she bite him?

“Average,” she retorted.

Before the word was fully out of her mouth, his lips were on hers again. Niamh struggled instinctively, wanting to slap him, but he had her pinned. Her arms were trapped, and his legs held hers immobile.

His kiss grew more demanding, deeper, leaving her no room to breathe. Her body went limp, her resistance melting away. She slowly closed her eyes and began, clumsily, to kiss him back.

It wasn't until his hand slipped under her dress and cupped her breast that reality came crashing back.

“Don’t, Mr. Bragg,” she whispered, her voice weak as she caught his wrist. A part of her desperately wanted to push him away, but another, traitorous part reveled in the warmth and security of his arms.

“Why not?” he asked, his voice thick with desire, his breathing ragged.
