I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 137

Not daring to question him, Niamh handed her phone over.

Jareth gave it to the sales clerk, who copied her information and installed the new card into a red phone.

Then, Jareth handed all five phones to her. “As my secretary, you can’t be seen using a piece of junk like that. It’s embarrassing for me,” he said, his face impassive. “The other four are for your children.”

With that, he wheeled himself out of the store.

Niamh stood frozen, trying to process what had just happened. All five phones were for her and her family?

“Jareth, why are you suddenly being so nice to me?” she thought suspiciously. “Is this some kind of trap?”

No, she couldn’t accept them.

She ran out after him. “Mr. Bragg, these phones are too expensive. I can’t take them,” she said firmly.

Jareth looked up, his icy gaze meeting hers. “Niamh, I’ll have the finance department deduct three hundred dollars from your salary each month until the cost of your phone is paid off. The other four are a bonus.”

He started to wheel away again.

Niamh still felt it wasn't right. She hurried to catch up. “Mr. Bragg, I’ll accept my phone, but I can’t take the other four.”

If she was going to keep her distance from him, she couldn’t accept such expensive gifts for no reason. Besides, they were her children; he had no obligation to buy them presents.

Jareth stopped and looked at the stubborn woman before him.

“You were instrumental in securing the contract with Isa,” he said slowly. “Consider this a bonus from the company for your hard work. And don’t get the wrong idea. I have absolutely no interest in a woman with four children.”
