I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 39

Two of her team members rushed over, each taking an arm to haul her to her feet.

“Damn you, Niamh. You dare to sabotage me? I will have you thrown out of this company.”

As Niamh entered the CEO’s office, she noticed the vase of bamboo on the desk. In just one night, it seemed to have grown more vibrant.

The entire morning passed without any sign of Jareth. Niamh found herself hoping he would never show up. That way, her debt would just disappear.

But at eleven-thirty, a message from him popped up on her phone, telling her to go buy him lunch.

Niamh was about to order from a delivery app when another message arrived: “You’d better go in person.”

She typed back: “Mr. Bragg, why can’t I just order it?”

Two voice messages immediately followed, his tone sharp and unfriendly. “Don’t ask so many questions. Do you want to pay back your debt or not?”

It was clear Jareth was just trying to make things difficult for her. He normally didn’t mind delivery, but ever since he saw a news report about a delivery driver spitting in a customer’s food, he’d refused to use the services. Usually, Usher bought his lunch for him.

Niamh sighed and typed another message. “Mr. Bragg, what would you like for lunch?”

It was better to ask upfront than to buy something he didn’t like.

Jareth replied: “I only eat from Vista Gourmet.”

Vista Gourmet?

That’s Cliffhaven’s most exclusive and popular restaurant. Could she even get an order at this time of day?

“Three dishes and a soup!”

“Give them my name! You won’t have to wait in line!”
