Back To Work Part II
“Juniper,” Phineas‘ voice carried from behind them as he exited the elevator and immediately moved to stand between Juniper and Kyst. He turned his back on the man and cupped her cheeks, wiping the tears of laughter off her face. “Are you okay? What did he say to you? Why are you crying?”
“I’m not. I’m laughing.” She gave a giggle. “He told me he was fucking around behind my back to raise money for a push present.”
“What the fuck is a push present?”
“A gift a man gives his partner when she pushes their baby out of their hoo-ha.”
“You can say cunt.”
“Phineas!” she smacked his chest and then giggled as he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight.
“I thought you were crying. I was about ready to call your father and tell him I was on board with his plans for the motherfucker.”
“Nah. We don’t need to call my dad. It’s fine. He’s going to get tossed out of here again and then I’ll be going to the inch:23 with Beni to file the restraining order and making sure it gets

“Seriously, sweetheart, can we call your dad?”
It dawned on her, Phineas wanted Kyst to know she’d found her father.
“Phineas, there is no reason to call my father to deal with Kyst. You know what he’s like. He’s going to make things worse. It will make Mama lose her shit at him and I’m not going to be to blame for them arguing.”
Kyst frowned at the conversation, “your father?”
“Yes. Her father. Juniper’s father hates you, Kyst. In a strange twist, we’re pretty sure he hates you more than we do as her partners. I mean, Beni, Adil and I loathe you with a burning passion but pretty sure her dad would bury you alive up North in the dead of winter and let wild animals dig your corpse just to watch you get shredded.” Phineas gave Juniper a grin, “we discussed this at length the night before we came home. He is a very imaginative man.”
“You found your father? Juniper that’s wonderful,” Kyst again tried to get closer to her. “Honey, it’s amazing.”
Juniper blinked at how quickly Phineas‘ managed to punch Kyst in the abdomen making the man double over in pain.
“Don’t fucking call her honey. Don’t call her anything. You 2/6.
don’t get to call her any term of endearment again, you sleezy

“She is my wife,” Kyst wheezed out.
“No. She is not. Her divorce is coming through today. She is your ex–wife, emphasis on ex, and she is my fiancée.”
“Phineas!” a woman’s voice screamed from the entrance of the
lobby.
“Why the fuck is she here? How did she know I was back in the country?”
“Fuck sakes,” Phineas grunted. “She is nuts.” He waved at Kyst, “are you part of her assassination attempt?”
“No. She told me you were back in the country and wanted me to convince Juniper to come back home to me so you would go back to her.” Kyst shook his head. “Other than the text she sent me last night to say exactly this, I haven’t heard from her since the day I got arrested.” He was staring at Denise whose face was being smushed against the glass as she fought against the cops holding her, “that is far more energy than I ever saw from her.”
“Funny,” Juniper made a face at Kyst. “Sex jokes.”
“Everything about you is in bad taste.” Phineas spat angrily. “I want him out of here. I want it so he can’t accost her again. I want restraining orders out the wazoo. My wife might have gotten pregnant while we were on vacation and the last thing I want is for her to be at risk.”
“You actually fucked him?” The hoarsely coarse crude question seemed to come from deep out the diaphragm of the infuriated man. “You might be pregnant?”
“I told you Kyst, I’ve moved on. I’m living my best life.” She paused and then walked closer to him, feeling confident the men holding him could continue to hold him, “you need to leave me alone. You should, however, go home and tell your father how I found my father. Let him know my father is Fermín Aguado and let him know he’s the older brother of Martina Aguado. Watch your father’s face and then I want the two of you to get ready. My dad is coming to Canada in the next couple of weeks. He’s bringing my grandparents with him. Your father made a comment to me at the police station how I was beneath you because I was the daughter of a housekeeper. I might be but I’m also the daughter of one of the wealthiest men on the planet and he’s an overprotective motherfucker. You two need to prepare for the wrath of the Aguado family.” She paused, “tell your mother I’m sorry it came to this, but she needs to know who her husband and son are.”
Phineas looked up as his security was telling him to go back to 5/6 his office. “Time to go sweetheart.”
She didn’t look back as Kyst was escorted out of the building, screaming at her how she couldn’t bear anyone’s baby but his.
As they stepped into the elevator and the doors closed, she shot Phineas a sideways glance.
“We’re back to the real world one day and this shit started up again. Are you sure we can’t move to Spain?”
