Karma Doesn’t Sleep: The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 206

Cameron was left completely dazed by that slap.

In over twenty years of living, no one had ever even dared to touch him, much less smack him across the face.

When he finally snapped out of it, he could feel the burning sting of five distinct finger marks on his cheek, his pride taking a hit that quickly turned to rage.

"Amelia Song! You actually hit me?"

Amelia just found it ridiculous.

He'd pushed her around so much and still expected her to stand there and take it? Was she really supposed to just let him humiliate her and not fight back?

Looking back on it, she’d given Cameron way too much face over the years. No wonder he thought he was some kind of untouchable prince.

Just the sight of him now made her feel unlucky. Thankfully, the taxi she’d flagged down had just pulled up, the driver leaning out the window to see what was going on.

"Give me a second!" Amelia called, limping toward the cab.

Cameron was being completely ignored. He’d always been treated like the center of the universe—being brushed off like this was something he just couldn’t swallow.

"Stop right there!"

His handsome face was so dark it almost looked dangerous. He strode over in two quick steps and grabbed Amelia’s slender arm, his grip tight enough to leave bruises.

"Let go."

Amelia turned to him, her face a mask of cold indifference, not a hint of panic in her eyes.

Cameron looked at that icy expression and got even angrier, his hands balling into fists at his sides.

"Amelia, do you really think I won’t hit a woman?"

Amelia just laughed, her voice sharp. "Why not? You look exactly like the kind of man who only has the guts to hit women."

"You—!" Cameron’s face turned an ugly shade, veins popping out on his forehead.

He’d never realized that quiet, introverted Amelia could be so sharp-tongued.

Cameron couldn’t believe how his luck had tanked today.

First, that shameless woman Amelia had slapped him in the face. Before he could even react, his brand-new car got rear-ended—almost completely totaled.

"Sorry about that, Cameron." Nathan leaned against his limited-edition sports car, casually scrolling through his phone. He said "sorry," but his handsome, cocky face didn’t show a trace of actual regret. "Just got this new car, still figuring it out. Good thing you’re okay, though."

Cameron’s face was so dark it looked like it could rain.

He’d never taken Nathan, the infamous playboy, seriously.

But the Morris family’s name carried weight—even when the Hensons were at their peak, Mr. Henson himself would show up at the Morris estate with a smile, standing respectfully as he poured the tea.

And for all Nathan’s laid-back attitude, he was always perfectly polite with his words.

"Nathan, are you going to buy me a new car or just let the insurance handle it?" Cameron ground out, forcing the words through clenched teeth.

"I’ve got things to do. Mr. Morris, talk to my assistant."
