Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 332

The next day

Clive had barely settled into his office when Emmery arrived, contract in hand, already signed and stamped by Diego’s team. Clive called in the legal department to give it a final once-over. As soon as they gave the green light, he signed and sealed it himself.

Kristen showed up right then, carrying two steaming coffees. She beamed, her tone casual and familiar. “Emmery, why don’t you stay and have lunch with us?”

Emmery pushed his chair back, putting a little distance between them. “Thanks, but I’ve got stuff to handle at the base. I should get going.”

“I’ll walk you out,” Kristen insisted.

Emmery couldn’t really refuse, so he followed her out of the office.

While they waited for the elevator, Kristen struck up a conversation. “Emmery, we’re all on the same project now. You don’t have to be so formal with me.”

Emmery just let out a stiff laugh. “Heh, yeah. Sure.”

Kristen had seen plenty of awkward engineers who clammed up around pretty women. She just chalked it up to her own charm and didn’t take it personally.

She played with her hair, letting it fall over the shoulder closest to Emmery, exposing her neck and collarbone like it was no big deal.

“By the way, Emmery, do you know if Amelia signed a collaboration contract with Green Wall?”

Emmery looked genuinely confused. “A collaboration contract? For Amelia?”

There was no such contract. Amelia wasn’t just collaborating—she was about to join as the head of Group A. It was a full-on employment deal, not a partnership. Whenever she wrapped up her current work, she’d be in, and Group A would work around her schedule.

Kristen’s tense expression faded right away.

So Amelia wasn’t even on Dr. Wade’s radar. All that attitude yesterday was just for show—turns out, she was nothing special after all.

News about Cloudcrest partnering with Green Wall spread quickly, sending their shares up almost immediately.

Klaus Bailey was in a great mood and called Clive personally.

A bad feeling crept in.

“You don’t need to worry about it,” Klaus said, cold as ever. “Right now, your job is to keep Kristen happy. In three days, I’ll make sure Amelia’s reputation is ruined. Everyone will turn on her, and when you divorce, people will cheer you on. Your reputation will stay squeaky clean.”

Clive’s frown deepened. He lowered his voice. “Dad, don’t go too far. Amelia’s still the mother of my kids.”

Klaus scoffed. “Don’t use the kids as an excuse. They’re Salmerons. Amelia was just a surrogate, nothing more.”

“If you’re really that attached to her, fine. She worships you, does whatever you say. After the divorce, if you want to keep her around as a mistress, I won’t get in your way. That’s about all she’s good for.”

Those words were almost too much to take.

For once, Clive pushed back.

“I’ll talk to Amelia about the divorce myself. Please stay out of it.”
