She watched Samantha saunter away, then glanced at Dan, who was smoking nearby. With a hint of a smile, she said, “Your wife really is something. She’s so generous, even to a complete stranger like my husband.”

Baldy rushed out to break things up. When he finally got Dan and Samantha back inside, he found Amelia calmly stitching up Ryan’s wound.
