Karma Doesn’t Sleep: The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 580

"I’ll drive you," Cameron said.

They walked to the elevator, but Michael hesitated before pressing the button. He glanced around to make sure no one was nearby, then leaned in, voice low. "Cameron, you know Kristen is Clive’s fiancée, right?"

"I know. I don’t need you to tell me," Cameron shot back, his eyes suddenly cold. "There’s nothing going on between us. I just treat her like a little sister."

Michael frowned. "But she’s not actually your sister. You hanging around her all the time—what do you think people will say?"

"This is the Henson family’s hospital. Nobody here is going to spread rumors," Cameron replied, sounding almost bored.

Michael didn’t know what to say to that. He’d always noticed Cameron had a soft spot for Kristen. Even when he was hard on Amelia, it wasn’t just about her background—he was also always defending Kristen.

"If Amelia hadn’t messed around so much after the divorce, Kristen and Clive wouldn’t be in this mess. They’d be engaged and happy by now," Cameron muttered, clearly annoyed. His dislike for Amelia was obvious.

Michael couldn’t let that go. "Cameron, it was Amelia who asked for the divorce. She was the one who left Clive. She blocked his number and cut him off. If anyone’s still hung up on the past, it’s Clive, not her."

Cameron snorted. "That’s just her game. She fought for Timmy’s custody and left Penny behind on purpose. Everyone knows Timmy’s a genius—he’s the one most likely to inherit the Salmeron family fortune. As long as she has Timmy, she has control over Clive."

Michael stayed quiet. There was no point arguing—Cameron’s bias against Amelia ran too deep.

He finally pressed the elevator button. When the doors opened, Michael stepped inside and turned around. "Look, don’t get mad at me for saying this, but some of the things you did to Amelia went too far. Didn’t your dad warn you already? Don’t make trouble for yourself."

He left one thought unspoken.

He didn’t really believe Kristen was as innocent as she looked.

Elsewhere, night had fallen.

Felix pulled his car into Amelia’s apartment complex and parked under a tree. He turned off the engine and looked back at the kids. "Jinx, you and Timmy stay in the car for a bit. I need to talk to Mrs. Sadinton."
