Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 637

Amelia got home and headed straight for her grandpa Tony’s study. She’d put up new lights in the hidden chamber, and now the whole place was lit up like it was midday.

Her grandmother Nora’s body was still there, perfectly preserved in amber, looking so lifelike it was hard to believe she was gone.

It was proof of something Amelia didn’t want to admit. Maybe she never would have, if life hadn’t forced her hand.

Whenever she had a spare moment, Amelia buried herself in research papers about time travel. She’d even reached out to Dr. Morgan, one of the top experts in the field, and they’d been going back and forth, talking through every wild theory.

Right then, her phone buzzed. Dr. Morgan’s name lit up the screen.

She answered right away. “Hello, Dr. Morgan?”

“Ms. Sadinton, I’ve been thinking about that theory you mentioned. I think I finally have an answer for you.”

Amelia stared at the amber coffin, her throat tight. “I’m listening.”

She’d asked him: if someone from the future could travel back in time using advanced tech, would they get broken down into tiny particles and then put back together? And if so, would that change their body in some way?

“In theory,” Dr. Morgan said, “when a person is broken down to the microscopic level and then rebuilt, their cellular structure becomes more adaptable. For example, people with different blood types can’t always share blood. But after this process, the body’s blood cells could adjust to match anyone’s—like, no more rejection.”

Amelia’s hand shook a little as she held the phone. “Dr. Morgan, what if that person… gave all their blood to someone else?”

She smiled, even though he couldn’t see it, and shook her head. “Thank you, Dr. Morgan, but there are other things I need to do.”

When she hung up, she felt completely empty, like something inside her had been hollowed out. She slid down to the floor, knees to her chest.

She closed her eyes and Ryan’s face came to her, clear as day.

So there really are people this foolish in the world.

Amelia stood up, left the house, and headed for the hospital where she’d spent five years of her life in a coma.
