Chapter 177: I Am Not Cullen

Nick finally led Fergus to a motel close to the outskirts of the pack grounds. They’d taken a shortcuts, all in an effort to avoid interacting with the pack.

As they went in, Fergus was able to easily pick up the smell of hard drugs and weed.

Oh, la, la.

This wasn’t just any motel. It was a haven for drug dealers and addicts alike who used this motel to carry out their nefarious activities in secret.

Hmph. Typical of wolves. Carrying out their hidden desires In secret instead of just embracing the darkness and letting loose.

Fergus couldn’t help frowning.

He was sure someone here would recognize Cullen’s form and point him out as a suspect if something were to happen to Nick. He needed to keep a low profile, especially now that he was so close to accomplishing his mission.

He turned his head to Nick, a false smile on his face. "Are we heading to a room?"

Nick raised an eyebrow, giving Fergus a surprised look. "What, you don’t want to take some crack first? You didn’t even have anything to drink at the bar."

Probably because the only thing I want to drink right now is your blood; Fergus thought to himself, while on the surface he still retained a cheerful smile.

"We could always save that for later. I want us to have this talk with a clear head. We’re talking about our future together, Nick." Fergus spoke softly, rubbing Nick’s chest with his hands, smirking to himself when he saw Nick trying to compose himself.

The fool. He was too far gone. Fergus almost pitied the man. He was about to get eaten, unknown to him, and it was only because he’d made the mistake of bumping into Fergus earlier. Even if the man didn’t love Cullen, Fergus would’ve still found a way to eat him. freeweɓnovel~cѳm

Nick shook his head, shrugging. "You make a good point. In that case, let’s just go book a ro–"

Fergus interjected before he could finish. "How about, your house? I mean, it would be way more private than if we stayed here." His voice sounded suggestive.

He could only hope that the idiot’s house hadn’t been destroyed during the attack. If not, then Fergus would have to take Nick to an isolated place and kill him swiftly. He was trying to find somewhere private because he wanted to play a little with his new victim before feeding on him.

He wanted to gauge how strong his love for the foolish Cullen was. To see if he’d fight once he found out that the man he claimed to love was nothing more than a pile of bones buried somewhere in the woods. He wanted to revel in his despair, revel in his agony.

Nick seemed at a loss for words, opening his mouth and closing them to say something. But finally, like Fergus had anticipated, Nick gave in. He grinned widely, eyeing Fergus slyly.

"Alright then. If you say so." With that said, they both strutted out of the motel, leaving the drug dealers and their customers to carry out their underground activities.
