Chapter 232: Conflict Between the Wolves and Fey

Cullen was fast. Like... So fast that he took the lead, skillfully rushing past the representatives who were still struggling to reach the starting line to hand over their bags to their teammates.

His speed almost seemed like a... Nah.

Before Kylo’s mind could point him to an unnerving possibility, Cullen slowed down, and soon enough some other people ran past him. It seemed his speed just now had just been a short burst.

"Hmph. It seems the twink is more impressive than I thought." Osmond muttered at the side as he stared intently at Cullen.

All the enlisted soldiers were wearing uniforms consisting of a camouflage T-shirt and khaki pants, matching with a pair of boots.

Cullen’s uniform hugged his body tightly, showcasing his lean muscle build. At that moment, Kylo’s mind went to last night and a blush crept up his face.

No! There was nothing between the two of them. It had just been a one-night fling. Yes, that’s right...

"You feeling okay, Kylo?" Suddenly, Osmond asked, arching an eyebrow toward him. "Your face is redder than a tomato right now. Are you... Blushing?"

Kylo’s heart leaped into his throat as he struggled to find his voice. "W– what? No, of course not. I’m just... I’m just feeling a little nauseous."

He looked away, trying to hide his face from Osmond and Celest.

Argh, fuck this shit!

Cullen finally came back, taking third place. He handed the backpack to Celest, a smug grin on his face. "Good luck." He winked at him.

Ugh, the dude was such a flirt, it was gross!

Celest nervously took the bag, drawing in a deep breath before strapping it to his back. He struggled at first but eventually found his footing and ran.

He actually exceeded Kylo’s expectations. When he began running back, he cheered him on, a smile on his face.

Finally, it was his turn. He took the bag, sprinting as fast as he could.

The wind blew against his face as he ran forward, his eyes fixed on the finish line ahead. As he ran, he couldn’t help wondering if his father was watching him right now.

What was his old man thinking? Perhaps he thought he was slow. Maybe, he was disappointed at his skills.

But Kylo didn’t care. He’d show him.

His inner wolf growled as he pushed himself to the very limits, sprinting past everyone in his way. He finally reached the other side and then turned back, sprinting for the starting point.

This was it. This was his chance to prove himself. His legs got a boost from his wolf as he growled, running past several people.

A smirk crept up his lips. He was going to win it. His team was going to win.

Meanwhile, he glanced up to see his father’s face but almost tripped when he didn’t see him. He was gone. The only person standing on the stage now was Aceco, who gave him a quick impressed nod.

However, his short moment of hesitation allowed others to run past him, and he ended up coming in fourth.
