Chapter 105
Alpha Ethan Pow
I woke up to the constant bimming of my alarm clock.
Groaning, resched over and slammed it off, the annoying sound ceasing immediately.
Ilay back down, staring at the ceiling blankly,
Today was another fucking day to face pack duties, decisions, and conflicts like always, but for some damn reason, I didn’t have the strength to do it.
“You will have to find the strength, my wolf growled in my head, clearly irritated by my sluggishness.
“Easy for you to say, Imuttered aloud and sat up slowly.
I looked down at Olivia, still sleeping peacefully, her long lashes resting against her cheeks and her skin glowing from last night’s encounter.
Guilt twisted in my gut like a hot knife.
I had used her, Again.
I used my mate to forget another woman–no, not just any woman.
Even now, the name scratched at the edges of my mind like a warning, a curse, a memory I both craved and loathed.
What the hell did she do to me?
Whatever spell she cast, if it even was a spell, it was working
Because even after all the humiliation, the betrayal, and the madness she caused, I still couldn’t get her out of my head, and i hated myself for it.
I sighed and stood, pulling the covers up to Olivia’s shoulder.
She stirred but didn’t wake. I turned and headed into the bathrool, peeling off my boxers as I went. The warm steam quickly fogged up the mirrors as i settled into the large tub, letting the hot water soak into my tense fuscles.
For a moment, just one moment, I allowed myself to feel peace.
But of course, it didn’t last.
Alpha! We’re being attacked!
Beta Matthew’s voice lanced through the mind link, sharp with urgency and confusion,
I bolted upright
Got it, I replied immediately, already climbing out of the tub, the water streamed down my body as I grabbed a towel, dried off in seconds, and rushed back into the bedroom.
Olivia had woken up, sitting up on the bed, rubbing her eyes.
“Ethan?” she asked, voice gropy. “Why do you look so tense? Is it because of ber is it Raven again!”
I paused mid–mation, halfway through pulling on my pants.

I wish it was just that,” said under my breath.
“Stay here”
I didn’t wait for her reply, I was already out the door, shirt half–buttoned, heart hammering
By the time I reached the northern border, I could already smell the chaos–blood, smoke, earth.
And rogues.
They were everywhere.
My warriors had arrived. Beta Matthew was in full form, barking orders with his sword drawn. Claws slashed. Teeth snapped. War cries echoed ke drums of doom. No one hesitated
And neither didt
I shifted mid–run, bones breaking and reforming as my black wolf took over. My fur bristled with rage asi lunged into the fray, taking down the first rogue
that dared cross me,
My jaw clamped around his neck, snapping it effortlessly.
But something was wrong.
Very wrong.
These rogues… they were organized. Strategic. It was as if they knew exactly how to counter our movements and how to strike at our weak points.
Too precise. Too damn precise.
My wolf snarled:
They’re not acting like random rogues,
Who the hell trained them like this?
The realization struck me mid–attack.
Someone told them how we fight. Someone gave them our formation, our strengths, and our weaknesses
My mind instantly flashed to Raven,
Could it be?
No. No. That made no sense. She was in the pack clinic, still recovering. And even if she had betrayed us again, how would she even know our entire border strategies?
I pushed the thought away.
There were too many enemies to be distracted by paranoia.
I slashed, bit, and clawed my way through them, my wall’s fury barely contained. Blood soaked my fur, both mine and theirs, but i kept going, but I was growing tired. The stamina thad usually was fading too quickly.
Because you’ve been too busy obsessing over Raven to train, my wolf snarled.
He was right.
I hadn’t trained in days hell, maybe even weeks. I’d been trapped inside Raven’s walls, inside my madness, and it was catching up to me now, my

movements slowed. My labs burned. Every breath fell
But I didn’t stop
I couldn’t
elt like fire in my chest,
I fought until the last rogue was on the ground, twitching in his own blood. When I finally shifted back into human form, it was already midday
The sun burned above, mocking us with its brightness.
I fell to the ground, chest heaving, my body drenched in blood and sweat. I didn’t care that I was naked.
My warriors didn’t either.
One of them handed me a bottle of water I downed it in seconds.
When my breathing calmed, I waved everyone off. “Go, patrol, and check if it’s clear. The other group, go check the women and children,” I told them, while the injured ones stayed with me until the pack doctors arrived.
I got off the floor, going over to where fresh clothes had been brought for me. As I slipped into the pants, my mind couldn’t help but flash back to what had just happened. Never had we had difficulties fighting the rogues, but today was different.
Could it be they are the e ones that traitor is working for? I thought to myself, as the thought of her betraying me made me sick.
“No, Raven. If you are behind this, I swear you will pay for it,” I muttered as I did the bottom buttons of my shirt.
When I returned, the pack doctors were already there, giving treatment to the minor injuries, while the seriously wounded were being pulled out on stretchers to the pack clinic.
to get better very quickly, because we are having an intense training session, no distractions”
I went over to the head warriors. “You have to
“Yes, Alpha,” they chorused.
As 1 turned and was making my way back to the pack house, just a few steps away, Theard a scream.
“Step back, Alpha” someone shouted, as one of the warriors quickly pushed me aside.
But I guess
s we weren’t fast enough as the bullet pierced through my left arm.
