On the Ruins of His Regret I Soar novel Chapter 251

Melissa was stunned. She couldn't believe Jessica would be so brazen at someone else's wedding. Spilling a drink from behind could be passed off as an accident, but Jessica had thrown hers right in her face. There was no explaining that away.

"Are you insane?" Melissa shrieked. "I told you it was an accident, and you deliberately threw a drink on me!"

"I have a history of mental illness, you know that," Jessica said with a smirk. "Don't be surprised I threw a drink on you. I could probably get away with murder."

Melissa instinctively took a step back.

Jessica let out a cold laugh and headed upstairs to change. At the top of the stairs, she saw Amy.

"Mommy," Amy said.

"What is it?" Jessica replied evenly.

"Mommy, I have to go potty."

Jessica took a deep breath and forced a smile, taking her daughter's hand. "Alright, let's go to the restroom."

She sat Amy down on the toilet. Amy looked up at her with wide, innocent eyes. "Mommy, I always have Peppa with me when I go potty. I can't go without her."

Jessica sighed. It was true; Amy had developed that habit. She had no choice but to go get the toy.

She ran to the door and twisted the handle, but it wouldn't budge. Of course. Whoever had planned this had thought of everything. She let out a soft, humorless laugh and gave up on screaming for help. Catherine's people were probably guarding the door.

“So this is her endgame,” Jessica thought, her jaw tightening. She dropped the Peppa Pig toy and grabbed a nearby vase.

"Daniel, we've been set up!" she yelled, holding the vase threateningly. "Snap out of it! You don't want to do something you'll regret!"

But Daniel was like a caged animal, beyond reason. All he knew was that she was the only person in the room who could relieve the fire consuming him. He had to get to her, or he felt like he would explode.

He rushed towards her, mumbling, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
