Amy happily browsed the store for a new doll while Jessica leaned against the doorframe, waiting.
Suddenly, a group of people emerged from the mall, escorting a well-dressed man in a suit toward the Cartier boutique next door.
A couple of the clerks started whispering. "I think that's Mr. George. He's supposed to be doing an inspection today."
Another young woman rested her chin in her hand. "So that's what the mysterious Mr. George looks like. He's so handsome! They never let pictures of him leak online, so I always assumed he was ugly."
Jessica looked up and her eyes met George's. She offered a small smile. Mr. George was probably having him do the inspection tour for him again. The man really was an enigma.
The clerk who had been speaking blushed. "I think Mr. George just looked at me."
Her coworker laughed. "I think he was looking at the toys, not you. What kind of beautiful woman hasn't Mr. George seen? He's a top-tier tycoon; he probably doesn't even spare a glance for A-list celebrities."
"Oh, Hazel, just let me have my Cinderella moment, will you?" the girl pouted.
"Don't you know Cinderella was a noblewoman herself?" Hazel retorted. "Even if she was mistreated, she had status. Cinderella and the prince were a match of equals."
Jessica chuckled softly.
Amy quickly picked out a new toy. It was a different model, and she looked a little sad. "There's only one of each toy. The other one was a gift from Mom Catherine, and I really don't want to lose it. Maybe when it's fixed, we can come back and buy it?"
