Oops I Banged the CEO novel Chapter 21

Marico had no choice but to keep driving.

Well, he thought, this is the wife I chose—guess I’ll just have to spoil her myself.

Yvonne made a point of finding a parking spot that was well out of the way—at least two or three hundred meters from the dealership.

“Mr. Hamilton, maybe I should go in and pick it out myself? You can wait here if you like,” she suggested, not daring to trouble him to walk so far.

Without a word, Marico unbuckled his seatbelt and pushed open the car door, his face unreadable.

Yvonne quickly gathered up the small wooden box in her lap and hurried out after him.

“Mr. Hamilton, would you mind putting on a mask?” She pulled a fresh one from her purse and handed it over.

Marico’s expression soured, but he took it and slipped it on.

When he wasn’t speaking, Yvonne still found him a little intimidating. She trailed a few steps behind as they walked.

She used to think that the whole idea of someone being born with a noble aura was exaggerated. But after meeting Marico, she realized that was an understatement. Even masked, dressed in a simple shirt and slacks, just walking down the street—he still carried himself with an unmistakable air of distinction.

This was a massive dealership, showcasing all sorts of luxury brands.

As the staff and customers watched this striking man stride inside, everyone hoped he’d be coming to their showroom. But he walked straight to the far end, heading for the most inconspicuous cars.

Tracy, sitting in a BMW with her trust fund boyfriend, caught sight of a familiar figure and raised an eyebrow in surprise. When she saw who was heading into the economy car section, her smirk was hard to miss. If she weren’t worried about her boyfriend making fun of her, she’d have marched in there just to gloat.

So much for finding some big-shot man, she thought. Turns out, she can only afford a budget ride.

“Hello, could I take a look at this one?” Yvonne walked in and greeted the cheerful saleswoman.

The saleswoman glanced at the tall, handsome Marico, then back to Yvonne. “Would you like to see just this model, or are you interested in other options as well?”

“Just this one, thanks. I’d like to see what they have in stock.” Yvonne’s answer was quick—she didn’t want to keep Marico waiting any longer than necessary. She already felt awkward dragging him into this modest dealership.

Marico looked around, but nothing caught his eye. He joined Yvonne as the saleswoman began her pitch.

“You like this?” Marico’s cool gaze was tinged with confusion.

“Yeah. It’s a simple electric car for getting around. I think it’s great.”

“Alright, we’ll take it. Let’s check the car.”

“Is it a convertible?” Marico’s dark eyes narrowed, his cool voice betraying some skepticism.

“Nope, not a convertible,” Yvonne explained, shaking her head. “Cars this cheap never are.”

Marico eyed her small, pale face and then the tiny car. “And what makes you think I’ll even fit?”

Yvonne looked him up and down, taking in his tall frame. “Well… maybe you should just walk back.”

Marico: “…”

“Or, we could at least try?” Yvonne bit her lip, testing the waters. After all, it didn’t seem right to make this high-powered CEO walk after he’d just bought her a car—but cramming him into this little plastic box seemed just as wrong.

“No need,” Marico said flatly, clearly unwilling to squeeze into the toy-like car. He headed back toward the lot where they’d parked earlier.

Tracy, meanwhile, was busy helping her boyfriend customize his car. When she saw Yvonne come out with her new ride, she snapped a photo and sent it to her family group chat to tattle.

Because it was a new car, Yvonne drove extra cautiously, making sure to wait for Marico at the intersection.

And when that imposing Rolls-Royce pulled up beside her, Yvonne glanced from it to her own tiny car and couldn’t help but feel the contrast.
