Oops I Banged the CEO novel Chapter 22

No wonder the big boss preferred not to sit in the passenger seat—just the purchase tax on his car could buy a whole fleet of compact sedans.

Marico pulled his luxury car out of the lot and flashed his headlights at Yvonne’s tiny hatchback, signaling for her to take the lead.

Yvonne put on her blinker, eased into the main road, and headed forward.

The three-lane street was busy, cars jostling for space—at least until that imposing Rolls-Royce rolled out. Suddenly, everyone but Yvonne melted away, giving her and the luxury car a wide berth.

Yvonne, blissfully oblivious, assumed it was her “new driver” sticker that had everyone being so considerate.

Sitting behind the wheel, she grinned to herself. There really are good people in this world.

With Marico’s car following close behind, her nerves as a rookie driver vanished. She’d never felt safer—or more confident.

Little did she know that every other driver on the road was silently sweating bullets for her.

Who in their right mind wouldn’t switch lanes if a million-dollar car was trailing them, especially a newbie?

Marico, meanwhile, was driving the Rolls-Royce as if it were scrap metal. He lounged in the driver’s seat, one hand draped casually out the window, music drifting from the speakers, eyes fixed on the little car crawling ahead.

Yvonne kept her pace slow and steady. Nearly half an hour later, she finally reached the company’s underground parking garage.

Marico parked in his reserved spot and stepped out, but there was no sign of Yvonne.

He scanned the garage and soon spotted her beige, beat-up hatchback moving back and forth, struggling to reverse into a spot.

Inside, Yvonne was baffled. Her car was so tiny—why couldn’t she squeeze it in?

Both adjacent spots were filled with bulky SUVs, leaving only the middle space free.

But no matter how she tried, she just couldn’t get in.

She racked her brain, trying to recall her driving school lessons about parallel parking. Nothing worked.

Resigned, she pulled out her phone to look up tutorials on reversing into a parking space.

She was still scrolling when someone knocked twice on her window.

Yvonne frowned, glancing up to find Marico bent over, peering in at her.

She rolled the window down and asked quietly, “Is something wrong?”

“You don’t know how to reverse park?” Marico’s gaze was calm, his black eyes flicking over her phone screen. His sharp, chiseled features seemed even more severe in that moment.

Clearly, he was at a loss for words.

“I haven’t driven since I passed my test. I always feel like I’m going to hit the cars on either side,” Yvonne admitted, a bit embarrassed.

“Move over.” Marico’s tone was cool, his furrowed brow giving off an aura of unapproachable authority.
