Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 615

Kiara's expression faltered with hurt, though she was trying hard to mask it. Georgia saw right through it.

Yet Georgia didn’t think any of this was her fault.

She had once believed Kiara was a sweet, gentle girl who’d inherited her father’s warmth and brightness. But now she realized Kiara had long been swayed by Ariana without anyone noticing. Back then, she’d been naive—seeing the two of them so close, she’d assumed Ariana still held some regard for the White family.

That she was using Kiara to extend an olive branch.

Now, she knew better.

Of course. With Ariana’s aloof temperament, how could she possibly care about some distant cousin she’d never met—one who’d only take resources from her?

Clearly, Kiara had been the one clinging to her.

Georgia felt a pang of disappointment.

She had thought Kiara was different. Now she saw how foolish she’d been.

Then again, with the White family’s vast fortune and Ariana poised to become the future matriarch of the Stone family, it was only natural for Kiara to curry favor. Still, it was a shame—none of his children had inherited his character. Instead, they’d all turned out to be such letdowns.

Had her expectations been too high?

Lost in thought, Georgia sighed softly, her gaze growing colder as it rested on Kiara.

Now that she had found her own flesh and blood, she no longer needed to rely on anyone—especially not a niece who had already been won over by Ariana. Her tone was distant as she said, "If there’s nothing else, you should go upstairs and rest. And from now on, don’t visit the Stone family so often."

Kiara blinked in surprise. "...Wh-why?"

Georgia frowned. "I’m saying this for your own good. Your priority right now is to focus on your studies, not chase after unrealistic things. Ariana will be the Stone family’s matriarch—she must be swamped. Try not to bother her so much."

She didn't want Kiara to always hang around with Ariana. Knowing Kiara's personality, she suspected those words weren't entirely her own thoughts.

Most likely, Ariana had put those ideas in her head.

That's why Kiara said those things.

The thought of Ariana—not only stealing Irene's fiancé but also driving her away—now poisoning Kiara's mind against her filled her with disgust. She truly didn’t know what to do. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined Ariana would turn out like this.

What a disappointment.

Was this inevitable? After all, Kendra’s child would naturally inherit her cold-hearted nature.

If she had known it would come to this, why had she wasted so much effort trying to guide Ariana, to prevent her from becoming as heartless as her mother? Yet now, it seemed all her efforts had been in vain.

Georgia sighed. She had done enough—more than enough.

At the very least, she had been fair to Kendra.

Without her, how could Ariana have achieved what she has today? Meanwhile, her own daughter was divorced, alone, with an uncertain future.

Just then, the pitter-patter of little feet announced the arrival of Kevin and Carson, dashing into the room with their nanny trailing anxiously behind, her eyes glued to the children lest they take a tumble.

Carson dashed into the old man's arms, his large, dark eyes glistening like ripe grapes. The grandfather's stern expression softened slightly upon recognizing him. "What's all this fuss about?" he chided gently. "You'll take a tumble if you're not careful."

Blinking rapidly, Carson gazed up at his great-grandfather with teary eyes, his lower lip trembling as he delivered his grievance. "Great-grandpa... Brother's bad."

The old man arched an eyebrow. "Oh?"

In the Stone Family household, Carson was undoubtedly the most energetic of the bunch. When he wasn't sleeping, his small figure could be seen dashing about the main villa like an inexhaustible whirlwind. The clever little imp also had a notorious habit of tattling—something Old Mr. Stone had grown accustomed to after several such incidents.

From across the room, members of the first and second branches watched with barely concealed resentment as the elderly couple doted on the third branch's three grandsons, their jaws clenched tight.

Collin, born a mere fortnight before the twins, had already taken his first wobbly steps. But unlike his cousins, he possessed a spoiled, tyrannical disposition—likely the result of being coddled by his branch of the family. The slightest displeasure would send him into wailing fits, and he'd throw tantrums whenever denied anything. A veritable little despot.

Compounding matters was Old Mr. Stone's clear preference for the third branch's grandsons. The other great-grandchildren rarely found favor in his eyes, so Collin—having scarcely interacted with the stern old man—had grown up believing himself the center of the universe.

At that moment, Carson shot a triumphant look at Kevin, who was ambling over at his own pace, as if to say, 'See? I've got Great-grandpa on my side!'

The patriarch chuckled and gave the boy's head an affectionate pat. "And how exactly is your brother bad?"

"He wouldn't give me my car!" Carson declared.

The old man's eyebrow climbed higher as he turned to Kevin. Spotting his great-grandfather's gaze, the other boy's eyes immediately welled up. After clutching his toy car protectively for a long moment, he finally extended it toward Old Mr. Stone with a pout, as if making a reluctant peace offering.
