"I don't want to trouble you or hear everyone's insults anymore," Cecilia said forlornly.
Sean panicked when he heard Cecilia say that she was leaving Jynston.
He had put in a lot of effort to bring Cecilia back from the brink of death and give her the best medical treatment in Jynston. So, how could she leave?
What if her illness relapsed after Sean took his eyes off her? The powerlessness that he felt watching her die in his past life overwhelmed him. He refused to let that happen.
"What are you saying?" Sean grabbed Cecilia's arm and pulled her into a tight hug. "I won't let you leave," he said.
Her small, frail body trembled in Sean's arms, and a surge of anger welled up in his heart.
Mosaic Studio was just a small design studio. No one had the right to comment on what his woman wanted!
"Don't cry. I'll buy all of Mosaic Studio's shares.
"From now on, you'll own the studio, and you'll be the one to decide who stays and who goes."
Cecilia stopped crying. She looked at Sean, stunned. Her eyes were still teary, but her tears had stopped falling.
She couldn't believe her ears. This outcome was thousands of times better than what she had expected! She had finally gotten her way.
Cecilia nuzzled into Sean's arms and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Sean… I knew you'd always be the one who treated me the best. I love you the most."
Sean gently patted her back as he held her in his arms. He should feel content and at ease, but for some reason, another face popped up in his mind during that touching moment.
It was Annie. Even though he was holding the woman he loved in his arms, another woman was on his mind.
Even Sean thought that it was absurd. Returning to his senses, he suppressed the damning thought.
