Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 864

He wasn't entirely heartless, and he knew this was the best deal he was going to get. Camila would never concede another inch. As for Lillian... she was closer to that man from the Williams family than she was to him. His only option was to rebuild their relationship slowly. Everything else would have to wait.

Mr. Myers, oblivious to Jordan's thoughts but pleased with the outcome, pushed the papers forward. "Then let's sign the agreement."

After watching Jordan sign, he collected the documents and left the café, heading straight back to the Williams Group to report to Dennis.

"Mr. Williams, the matter has been settled as you instructed," he said, handing over the signed agreement.

Dennis reviewed the terms and the signature, a satisfied look on his face. Although it seemed like they had conceded two extra visits, four was the number he had intended all along. The initial offer of two was merely a negotiating tactic. Four visits a month was the absolute limit he and Camila would allow. It was all Jordan deserved.

"Excellent work, Mr. Myers. I appreciate it," Dennis said dismissively. "You may go."

"Of course," Mr. Myers replied with a smile. After all, Dennis was the firm's primary benefactor. Their entire practice was at his service.

After Mr. Myers left, Dennis set the file aside and returned to his work.

That evening, Dennis picked Camila up from work and handed her the agreement. "It's done. Take a look."

Camila wasn't surprised by his efficiency, but as she read through the detailed clauses, her eyes widened in astonishment. The terms were far more comprehensive than she could have imagined. Dennis had thought of everything, covering angles she hadn't even considered. The document was flawless.

"You're much more thorough than I am," she said, closing the file and looking at him with sincere admiration. "I'm very satisfied with this outcome."

It was the perfect solution to prevent the Smith family from causing any more trouble. Her interactions with Jordan would be limited to these visits, and nothing more. Lillian had her and Dennis; she didn't need the hollow affection of the Smiths.

He looked down at her, his gaze intense. Camila's eyes were beautiful, framed by long lashes that fluttered like butterfly wings. His reflection was captured in their clear depths, shimmering with a tender, captivating dependency.

Her look melted his heart. He tilted her chin up and captured her lips in a deep, possessive kiss. "That's perfect," he murmured against her mouth. "It's exactly what I want."

He had never intended to let her go. Now that she was in his life, she was there to stay.

His words sent a thrill through her. She met his gaze, mesmerized by his impossibly perfect features—the sharp planes of his face, the deep-set eyes, all cast in the warm glow of the setting sun. His eyes, usually so cool and unapproachable, were always filled with a gentle warmth when they looked at her.

For the thousandth time, she wondered what she had ever done to deserve him. As if under a spell, she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck. With a man like this, she would gladly fly into the flame.
