Sylvara's Rebirth: A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 121

**Chapter 121: Slapping Faces Without Power**

Neither Issac nor Valia could be accused of lacking mental fortitude or physical prowess, especially not Issac, the formidable chief of the Combat Department. His reputation was built not solely on his father’s influential connections but on his undeniable strength and skill. Yet, even someone of his caliber found himself yanked back by Sylvara with a mere flick, as if caught in the grip of some unseen giant’s pincers, nearly losing his balance in the process.

With an air of determination, Sylvara advanced, positioning herself directly in front of Valia, her gaze piercing down at the freshman. “You may feel free to attack my comrades and label me as worthless,” she stated, her voice steady, “but you will not insult the department I proudly represent.”

Valia, however, remained undaunted. In her mind, she thought, As long as no one stands up for this so-called ‘useless’ girl with her H-grade physical stats, I have nothing to fear. It’s absurd that someone who hasn’t even submitted a spatial button gets to act so high and mighty. I’m doing this for the greater good. Just because she skipped a grade doesn’t grant her the liberty to act as she pleases.

With an air of defiance, Valia puffed out her chest, her voice ringing with conviction. “The academy stands for fairness. Each of us is capable of forming our own judgments. Are we now silenced from speaking the truth?”

Sylvara didn’t allow for any deliberation. The instant Valia’s words hung in the air, Sylvara sprang into action, a blur of motion as she seized Valia’s wrist, yanked her arm upwards, and executed a flawless throw that sent Valia hurtling over her shoulder.

Before Valia could comprehend what had just transpired, she found herself crashing to the ground, the impact jarring her senses. A moment later, she felt the weight of Sylvara’s boot pressing against her cheek. “I’ve made myself clear,” Sylvara declared, her tone unwavering. “You can call me useless, but you will not belittle my department or my mentor’s assessment of my abilities. Apologize.”

Valia’s face felt as if it were being torn asunder under Sylvara’s foot. This so-called ‘useless’ girl, devoid of mental energy, had her pinned down, rendering Valia completely immobile. “You expect me to apologize to a worthless piece of trash? Not in this lifetime.”

“Still got that sharp tongue, huh?” Sylvara pressed her boot down harder into Valia’s face, the thick, anti-slip sole feeling like a bed of nails digging into her skin. “This is your last chance. Apologize, or you can say goodbye to those teeth.”

“Don’t push your luck,” Mavena interjected, her voice laced with warning. “Release her, or I won’t hold back.”

Sylvara clicked her tongue dismissively, shooting a sideways glance at Mavena. “And who might you be? Oh, the chief of the Agriculture Department? You should be thanking me. If I hadn’t decided to join the Culinary Department, you wouldn’t even have that title.”

The harshness of her words cut like a knife, leaving Mavena seething with indignation.

With fists clenched, Mavena lunged at Sylvara, but Sylvara merely smirked and sidestepped, effortlessly positioning herself behind Mavena.

In a swift motion, Mavena turned, only to receive a stinging slap that echoed through the room.

Smack!

The sound was sharp and resounding.

Mavena staggered, momentarily dazed, as her mental energy dissipated like mist in the morning sun.

Seizing the opportunity, Valia scrambled to her feet, gathering her mental energy for an attack against Sylvara.
