Chapter 151 Is She Your Student?
Sylvara explained, “The chief of the Agriculture Department at the Fifth Military Academy told me to come along as a side helper. I just need to check if this primeval forest has any natural food.
“I’m not even part of military training. And don’t let Veyric’s energy fool you. He’s been using meds nonstop. He followed me so I could keep an eye on him.”
Agares’ eyes, dark like a bottomless hole, flickered. He raised his wrist with the optical computer. “If that’s the case, you won’t mind if I check with your teacher, right?”
She minded a lot.
Sylvara stared up at him, totally speechless.
His team wasn’t wrong when they cursed him.
He was insane.
Even if he didn’t know she was his wife right now, she was still a Level-7 Plant Healer.
He could easily help her out, but he refused. Worse, he had to check every tiny thing, like some demon obsessed with rules.
Ask Aslan? Seriously?
Her cover would be blown wide open.
“Your Highness, actually-”
Agares hushed her, shutting down her last chance to fix it.
She stood on her toes to look.
She was toast.
Agares had already made the call.
“We’re closest to the Kolar planet. Maybe His Highness’ team is hunting Level-6 mutant beasts out here?” Aslan asked respectfully from the pilot seat, staring at the endless forest outside.
Blake, in the copilot seat, tapped a button on the side of his sunglasses. The lenses expanded their scan function, checking the dense canopy below. “That’s possible. But there was a

Swarmborn incursion on the Kolar planet a few days back. Agares’ legion shouldn’t be here.”
Aslan felt that made sense.
Agares was stationed on the Kolar planet. He should be busy.
Right then, Aslan’s optical computer rang. He looked down and gasped, “It’s His Highness.”
Blake turned and slid his sunglasses down, revealing his striking violet eyes. “Agares?”
Aslan lifted his wrist and pointed at the optical computer. “It’s His Highness.”
Blake’s look turned serious. “Then we guessed wrong. The team going after those Level-6 beasts must be Agares.”
Aslan felt a chill run through him and blurted out, “How do you know?”
Blake smirked. “Don’t trust me? Answer it.”
Aslan hit the speaker, and Agares appeared.
Aslan greeted him politely. “Peace to you, Your Highness.”
Agares replied, “Sorry to disturb you, Mr. Otto. I need information.”
Aslan glanced at Blake, who watched with great interest. “Please go ahead.”
Agares met Aslan’s gaze. “Is Ms. Feywin your student?”
Blake, with interest written all over his face, perked up. He took off his glasses, held them, and signaled at Aslan.
Aslan immediately responded, “Yes, Your Highness. Feywin is my student. She’s very talented. She skipped from the first year to the second. Did she do something bad?”
“No. She didn’t. She’s impressive.” Agares never denied anyone’s excellence, and he never overlooked anything suspicious, either. “She said she’s an off-the-books helper to find edible plants, not join training. Is that true?”
His stare was sharp enough to cut glass. Aslan didn’t dare mess up. He kept his expression neutral and lied smoothly, “Yes, I told her to do that. I want her to find new natural foods that nobody sells yet.”
Sylvara overheard and quietly breathed out. She finally calmed down.
Her cover was safe. Because he backed her up, she’d stop calling him a mutt behind his back. She’d be kinder, so Malcolm wouldn’t complain so much.
