Sylvara's Rebirth: A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 45

Chapter 45 Combat Department

Sylvara stared at him. His movements made no sense.

One step shattered the stone path beneath him.

He said he only sat in a few classes.

She did not believe that at all.

She flicked the lemon toward him again. “Thank you, Aslan. Keep your promise. This lemon is

on me.”

Aslan snatched the lemon with both hands. He pulled it close and kissed it like it was gold. “Sweetheart, thank you. I will keep my mouth shut. See you.”

He rushed off like a man who would trade his future for one piece of fruit.

One lemon turned him into a rocket.

He vanished down the path.

Sylvara guided Saphron inside the dorm villa. She sliced two thin lemon pieces and stirred them with honey. She carried the drink out.

Saphron barely sat before he sprang back to his feet. “Thank you, Ms. Feywin.”

Sylvara sat across from him. “Sit down. Try it. It is lemon honey water.”

Saphron lifted the cup with shaking fingers. He drank a tiny sip. The sour taste hit him first. The honey softened it and turned it warm. It did not taste like sweet citrus at all.

Then the heat spread through his entire body. It moved through his arms and legs like a slow wave of fire.

“It is amazing. It has mental energy. My whole body feels like it is warming up.” Saphron pulled the close. He wanted to ration every drop. His mother’s genes were collapsing. She needed endless treatments. If he had the money, he would pull her out of that place that crushed people.

Sylvara gave a satisfied nod. “Good. Now we sell the lemons and the bright red peppers from The Fifth Military Academy.”

Saphron tensed. “We cannot sell bright red peppers. I tried. Everyone left bad reviews.”

Sylvara smiled with calm confidence. “Leave that part to me. Now let us talk partnership.”

Saphron straightened his spine. “Yes. However you want to work together, we will work together.”

He was honest. She respected that.

She said, “The Level 7 plant healer already agreed. Every fruit the healer grows will come to me. I handle all of it.”

It was full control.

Saphron swallowed hard. His hope rose fast. If she trusted him that much, maybe she would one day let him ask for treatment for his mother.

Sylvara continued, “I am still in school. I cannot run a booth outside. Last time we worked well. So I suggest a thirty-seven split.”

Saphron froze. His eyes went wide. “Thirty-seven? That much?”

He would have agreed to one-nine.

He would have washed floors for free if it meant getting one fruit for his mother.

Sylvara did not move. “Then it is set. You take three. I take seven for the healer.”

Saphron shook his head in disbelief. “No. No. Ten-ninety is fair. I take one part. You take two. The healer gets seven.”

Sylvara liked his honesty even more. She felt she had chosen the right person. “It stays thirty- seven. I will tell you this now. If anyone finds out the fruit passes through me, our deal ends. You could lose more than the partnership.”

Saphron jumped in fast. He wanted to show loyalty. “No one will know. I swear it. I will never tell a soul the fruit comes through you. I would die before I talk. I can write a contract.”

Sylvara stood and held out her hand. “Good. Write it. Give me a spatial button. I will collect the fruit.”

Saphron put his cup down and handed her a fresh spatial button with cooling functions.

Sylvara went upstairs. She pulled out the lemon tree from her own spatial button. She shook it once. Lemons fell across the bed like gold coins.

She pushed her mental energy into the tree. More lemons grew. They dropped in waves. In minutes the bed was buried. She lifted the sheet and sent all the lemons into the empty button.

She walked back down.
