Chapter 48 Lemon Chicken Fever
Sylvara talked while carrying a basin full of lemons to the sink. She scrubbed the lemon rinds vigorously using fine salt.
The live chat blew up. “Boss, are you secretly a Level-7 Grower, ma’am?”
“Teach us the right way to eat lemons. When will they be available?”
“Can these lemons repair genetic breakdown?”
“Using lemons that can fix genetic issues together with chicken. Did you invent that pairing?”
Sylvara rinsed the lemons, shook off the water, and, keeping only her hands visible on screen, picked up a knife and sliced off the lemon’s cap in one smooth motion. “I’m not a Level-7 Grower. I’m just explaining how to eat lemons.”
“Quiet. Don’t start chaos. If I get annoyed, I might tell the Level-7 Grower that no one likes lemons, and we’ll stop selling them.”
The moment she finished speaking, everything froze in the chat.
Everyone watching was terrified they’d lose their chance to buy lemons.
Nobody dared utter a word.
Not one message appeared.
Sylvara found this result pleasing.
She made the second cut and sliced the lemon into rounds.
A sharp, refreshing acidity shot straight into her nose.
The smell-taste sharing feature in the stream activated.
New viewers were hit by the scent the second they entered.
They all wanted to type something but forced themselves to stay quiet.
Sylvara cut the next slice, continuing as she said, “If you can manage it, use one lemon for one to two pounds of buffalo chicken wings. If not, one lemon for five pounds works too-it’s up to you. But the bright red pepper is essential. Without it, the dish loses its spirit.”
All six golden lemons were sliced and added to the basin of buffalo chicken wings.

She put on gloves and mixed everything with both hands. Instantly, golden lemon slices, pale buffalo chicken wings, and red pepper slivers blended into a dazzling scene inside the basin.
Once she finished tossing, she picked one up and bit into it. The peppers were fiery. The lemon was sharp. It didn’t have the depth of fermented flavor. but it still outclassed nutrient paste by a long shot-no, by a whole galaxy.
Viewers watched those fair, slender hands lift a claw, gnaw it clean, and spit out the tiny bones.
They swallowed thickly behind their screens. None dared call buffalo chicken wings “filthy.”
After eating a few pieces, Sylvara peeled off her gloves, flipped a lid over the basin, and covered the mountain of lemon chicken. Her voice stayed level and cool as she spoke, “The first three viewers who entered-send me your addresses. Each of you gets a box of buffalo chicken wings
and one lemon.
“Thanks for tuning in. Until next time.”
With a crisp tap, she shut the stream off.
The first three viewers practically jumped out of their chairs, rushed to send their addresses, and immediately bragged on Starnet.
The millions who joined later were dumbfounded.
That was it?
That was really it?
They’d only been watching for a few minutes.
They didn’t even get enough of that lemon aroma.
Did it have to be this merciless?
Did it have to be this stingy?
The ones hit hardest were the 17 who left halfway.
They saw “lemon chicken” blowing up all over Starnet.
They were drowning in regret. Why had they left?
Why had they talked trash?
The lemon chicken that should’ve been theirs had slipped away.

Was it too late to beg forgiveness?
After ending the stream, Sylvara logged into the Level-7 Grower’s account and tagged Saphron Gild, then tagged her own stream account with a stylish announcement. “Lemons are authorized to Saphron. Sales start in three days. Limited stock. Please set a reminder. Lemon chicken tastes insane. Don’t be the fool who gets lemons in three days but forgets the buffalo chicken wings.”
The post went live.
Three seconds later, it shot onto Starnet’s trending chart.
Saphron spotted the post.
He pinched his thigh to confirm he wasn’t hallucinating.
No wonder Sylvara said even stripping all the red peppers from The Fifth Military Academy wouldn’t be enough. With this level of hype…
Even another hundred thousand pounds would vanish instantly.
He hurried to empty out every natural food listing from his online shop.
He posted 1,000 lemons and bundled them with a pack of bright red peppers-10 per set.
Sales would open at noon in three days.
Meanwhile, vendors who couldn’t sell buffalo chicken wings before watched their entire stock disappear in moments.
