Sylvara's Rebirth: A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 60

**Chapter 60: The Last Warning**

Sylvara pressed her heel down hard into the back of Miralys’s hand, a cruel smirk playing on her lips as she looked down at her. “This is your final warning,” she declared, her voice dripping with disdain. “If it doesn’t belong to you, keep your filthy hands off it.”

Miralys winced, a sharp jolt of pain radiating from her hand, where Sylvara’s heel dug in mercilessly. “Agares isn’t just mine as a person. Everything he owns is mine too. If you’re feeling jealous or bitter, I suggest you keep it to yourself,” she shot back, her voice quaking but defiant.

The agony surged through Miralys, causing her eyes to water. Tears spilled down her cheeks like pearls falling from a broken necklace. “It hurts! Please, let go of me!” she pleaded, desperation creeping into her tone. “Just let go…”

But Sylvara’s grip tightened, her voice cold and unyielding. “Does it hurt? Good. I want you to remember this feeling. If you dare cross me again, the pain will be a hundred, no, a thousand times worse.”

The pressure was unbearable, and Miralys felt her skin begin to tear under the relentless force. Blood welled up, bright and vivid, contrasting starkly against her pale skin.

She choked back sobs, her face contorted in a mix of agony and rage. How could this insufferable woman, who was supposed to lack any mental strength, wield such force? Miralys had always thought Sylvara’s physical prowess was worthless, so where was this strength coming from? How could she stomp on her hand so fiercely that fighting back seemed futile?

“Do you remember?” Sylvara taunted, her voice slicing through the silence as Miralys remained silent, grappling with her pain. With a cruel twist of her heel, a sickening crack echoed in the air as one of Miralys’s fingers broke beneath the pressure.

“Ah!” Miralys screamed, the sound piercing the air like a knife. The pain was overwhelming, and her vision blurred. “I remember! I promise, I won’t do it again. Never again!”

In the Interstellar Era, injuries inflicted by external forces—like broken fingers or deep cuts—could be mended in a medical pod. Just a couple of hours submerged in healing fluid would erase every trace of injury. But the pain before the healing was all too real.

“Now that’s better. That’s my good little sister,” Sylvara said with a saccharine smile, finally lifting her foot away.

Miralys shivered at the sight of that smile, a twisted mockery of affection that sent chills down her spine. She quickly snatched her hand back, blood staining her skin, the pain shooting through her like a dagger. She didn’t dare to touch her injured hand, fearing even the slightest movement would send her spiraling into further agony.

Without sparing her another glance, Sylvara resumed her task. She hefted the crate once more, striding confidently toward the teleportation bay. With practiced ease, she entered the address, filled out the necessary forms, and sent the box off into the void.

Outside, the battlefield was a cacophony of chaos. Towering black mechas loomed over the remnants of the fight, their blades glinting ominously in the fading light as they hunted down the last of the mutated whip spiders, incinerating them mercilessly.

By the time they returned to the warship, the atmosphere was thick with exhaustion. The soldiers, clad in their green uniforms, bore the marks of battle, splattered with streaks of green blood that told tales of the day’s violence.

Agares strode in at the forefront, tall and imposing like a steadfast pine tree. The scent of blood clung to him more strongly than to anyone else, a testament to the ferocity of the skirmish.

Auren caught the scent the moment Agares stepped through the door, but he refrained from commenting. Instead, he swiftly grabbed Agares by the arm and guided him toward the treatment bay.

Agares peeled off his green combat suit, revealing a lean, muscular torso marred by deep, angry slashes that bled profusely, staining his chest and lower abdomen a dark crimson.
