The Alpha Of The Shadow Pack And His Mute Luna (by Beatrice Putnam) novel Chapter 124

Vanessa POV

We ate breakfast in a comfortable silence. He did not leave early this morning like usual. After he said what he said, I was all worked up. I could not wait until we could have sex. I needed some sexual relief. I was going crazy. He had turned on the heater, and the house was gradually warming up. I enjoyed a couple of cups of coffee. He made it just right. After breakfast, he went and got me a coat out of the closet. I have never seen a coat like this. I have never had a coat a day in my life. I always kept myself covered with a blanket. He carried me to the car that was waiting for us. I could have walked if he had let me. But he was always carrying me everywhere. I think he forgets that I have legs. Yes, they are a little wobbly right now, but they will regain their strength.

We arrived at the hospital and immediately went to the nursery to see Junior. He was dressed in a blue jumper. He was swaddled in a blue blanket. He still had wires hooked to him, but his vitals were stronger than ever. The doctor came in.

* Alpha and Luna.

Your little Junior here is powerful.

If he keeps going on the path that he is going on, he will be able to go home sooner than expected.

I almost jumped out of the chair from joy. Alfred just smiled and said.

That’s my boy.

We spent several hours with him. Then it was my turn to get examined by Dr. Moser. We met him at radiology. He took the Xray. We waited for about thirty minutes. He then came into the room and said that my leg was completely healed and that he could remove the splint. He was in the process of taking the splint off my leg when Alfred left the room.

Doctor Moser, do you think Alfred and I can start having sex again?

I will have a female doctor examine you.

He left the room, and then an elderly lady came in and examined me.

Luna, everything seems healed just fine.

If you and the alpha half sex make sure that it is not rough.

I was delighted to hear that, I know when I tell Alfred that we can have sex again, he will be just as happy to hear it. I will see what he has planned for us today. I know we are going to the safe house again. It will just be the two of us there. No Mac, no one knocking on the door. I got dressed again and slowly walked to the door of the hospital room. Alfred was talking to Doctor Moser. He had a smile on his face when he saw me. He rushed over to me and put his arm around my waist.

Are you ready to go, little one?

Yes, I am.

He then helped me to the car. Chris was driving. I have grown accustomed to Chris always being around. At first, I found it unnerving that he was always around. However, now I understand that since Chris is his beta, he was always going to be around. My father never had his beta that close to him. He had never had anyone else around. He did that, so there was no witness to the abuse he inflicted on me. If there were no witnesses, then they could not report it to the king. That is who would have stopped him from abusing me. However, he never came to the village because he was unaware of what was happening. I hated that fact. We arrived at the safe house.

It was lunchtime. When we walked into the kitchen, we were set up for a romantic lunch. On the table were ribs and baked potatoes, and a salad. This was a big lunch. We walked over to the table. He pulled out my chair for me. I then sat down. He then poured me some soda. As a safe house, he certainly had people who would bring him things. But he is the alpha, and he was entitled to these things. I had noticed while we were driving back here that there were guards everywhere. However, you would not think they are guards unless you knew what to look for. They were wearing plain clothes and casually strolling back and forth. They were not uptight. He poured me a glass of soda. He then poured himself some wine.

I don’t like wineit’s too bitter and strong. We ate, he sipped his wine, and I drank my soda. We finished lunch.

Chapter 124

Vanessa, how would you feel about a swim?

Where would we go swimming?

I haven’t seen any pools or lakes since I’ve been here. Of course, I have not explored any. I have been staying at home mainly. The other day, I had no plans of leaving the house unless Alfred was with me or if Stacey and some guards were with me. I have no desire to get in trouble again. I did not want to get hurt again. I want to heal and get stronger. I want to help my people and help Alfred in the coming war.

I know of a lake that is crystal clear; the water is immaculate.

We have to walk to it, or we can let our wolves out.

Sasha jumped at being let out. But how would we get our swimsuits to the lake?

Alfred, how would we get our swimsuits to the lake?

I will have one of the guards drive out there and bring them to us.

That sounded as good as anything I could come up with. I went into the bedroom and put our swimsuits in a bag. I then put it by the front door. Alfred finished putting the food away, and then he whistled out the front door. A man came running over.

Yes, alpha

We are going swimming in the lake. I need you to take these to the lake for me.

We will be traveling in wolf form.

Make sure that all the guards are aware of it.

Yes, alpha.

The guards agreed, and then Alfred and I went out the back door and shifted to our wolves. Leon danced around Sasha; she pranced, showing off. Then Leon ran towards the lake. We got there, and the water was crystal clear. The bag that I had packed was lying on a rock. There were towels there. Alfred had thought of everything. Alfred looked around to make sure no guards were hiding in the shadows. I knew they were nearby, but they wouldn’t see me naked. That was my primary concern. I knew that Alfred was not going to be happy if anyone saw me naked. We shifted to human form and then got dressed in our swimsuits. I had chosen my blue swimsuit. I had grabbed his black swim trunks. After getting dressed, we jumped in the water.
