Chapter 144
Alfreds POV
I forgot to tell Vanessa that my patents were coming. I then told her about her sisters. She was furious and yelling. She did not want to see them. I wondered why she didn’t want to see them. She has never spoken much about her sisters. All I know is that they were all neglected. However, Vanessa was abused. Her parents got what was coming to them. However, how would she see that her sister was the alpha of her old pack? I will gauge her reaction when she sees them. I walked out of the room and let her finish getting ready to go jogging. I did not know when her sisters would be there. My mother and father were sitting on the couch when there was a knock on the door. I got to answer it. It is her sisters.
My father jumped up from the couch. The look on his face told me he was not happy, as if he knew something I did not. As if on cue, Vanessa came out of the bedroom. She then looked at her sisters, and all the color drained from her face, Was that fear she was feeling or pain? I did not know. She ran out of the house. I tried to run after her, but Regina stopped me.
* Let her go.”
What did you do to my mate that she hates you?”
“She’s jealous.
I decided to let her go. After working out, she will come around. I will make her tell me what happened between her and her sisters.
Alpha Regina, you and your sisters need to leave.”
Alpha, we just got here, and we wanted a tour of your pack.”
* That is out of the question.”
If my father had reacted to them the way he was, it would not have been good. If Vanessa was reacting to them the way she was, that wasn’t good either. They know something I don’t. I will be sure to deal with it. My father told me that Regina had hired a witch after their parents were taken prisoner and that she had her cast spells on the members of her to make her alpha. Since he couldn’t prove it, he went along with it until he could. Then, who was supposed to be alpha? To my knowledge, Alpha Maurice had no sons, unless he had an illegitimate one. That would not be a surprise. Vanessa had never mentioned any affairs. She was convinced that her parents were a happy couple. They were messed up, cruel, and they would torture members of their pack. I need to get to the bottom of this.
I talked to my mother about being a parent, then to my father about the current situation. He advised me to do my research and find out everything I could. I intended to do that and to interrogate Regina. However, I would do that without anyone knowing anything. I mind–linked Chris to go ahead and escort her to my office instead of a cell. I had an office in the back of the jail. That’s where I figured out the sentence of the people in jail. I was deep in thought when my mother’s voice cut in.
Can we go out to lunch, son?”
Yes, Mother, anything for you?”
We sat, and we enjoyed each other’s company until Vanessa got back. When she walked in, she was sweaty and looked sexy. If my parents were not there, I would take her to the bedroom and rip her clothes off and lick the sweat off her until she’s screaming my name. Then I would eat her pussy until she was gushing cum all over me. I shook my head to get the image out of my head that she was not being so damn beautiful. I looked around me, and everyone was smiling. I started blushing for the first time since I was a teenager. Vanessa was in the bedroom showering.
Son, we understand.”
How many times did my father think those thoughts about my mother, even though it was gross to think about? I then went into the bedroom. Vanessa was out of the shower. She had several dresses sitting on the bed. What is she doing? Is she leaving me? I started to get angry until she turned around.
What do I wear to lunch with your parents?”
I chuckled to myself. I thought she was getting ready to pack a bag and deciding what to wear for lunch with my parents. I’m an idiot. She asked what to wear to lunch with my parents. Maybe she thought she had to wear a ball gown or something.
A nice dress.”
She picked a fall dress, While she got dressed, we talked about her sisters. She told me that she never wanted to see them. I explained to her that Regina was the alpha of her old pack. She was not surprised by the news. She said she would be respectful but would not see them for anything other than business. I am happy with that. She told me that while she was being abused, none of them tried to stop it. That angered me -something as simple as siblings should have. I have heard of a similar situation before where siblings didn’t protect each other. However, they were afraid of their father. I could see that with Vanessa’s sisters. But I wasn’t impressed with that answer. This was something I will deal with after lunch. I’m sure by now that Regina was sitting in my office in the back of the jail, wondering what was going on. I’ll let her sweat. She watched her sister being tortured all those years.
Vanessa was being starved and beaten every day. I knew that when Stacey was in trouble, I would try to take her punishment; however, my father would not allow it. He would say.
I did not know what he meant by that. Now, as an alpha, we protect our people even when they deserve to be punished. I have executed very few of my pack members. I have executed traitors only and murderers mainly. They deserved it then. I have also executed Vanessa’s parents. Then I have prisoners in jail for petty crimes. They have long jail sentences, and some have community service. I make sure anyone who is slated to be executed deserves it. I was so lost in thought that I had forgotten that we were going to lunch until my father cleared his throat.
“I’m sorry, Father.”
‘It’s OK, your mother was asking if we were all going to ride in a limo or if you were all going to take your own cars.”
I want to take my own car.”
I wanted to take my own car so I could spend time with Vanessa alone and see if we were going to be okay. She seemed happy on the walk to the car. She grabbed my hand, and we walked to the car that Chris had waiting for us. It was nice and warm inside the vehicle. Vanessa looked beautiful in her fall dress and her hair down.
