Alfreds POV

I opened the door slowly and as quietly as possible. If she was sleeping, I did not want to wake her. She needs as much sleep as possible. The doctor said the silver would take a couple of days to get completely out of her system. The question is, if she was eating it, then why wouldn’t she feel it burn her mouth? It had to burn. I will get to the bottom of that later as well. They could have been injecting her as well. I have no idea.

After opening the door, she was still on her left side where she had passed out. The IV was in her left hand as well. She was on my side of the bed, which was on the left side. Closest to the door. I did not think about it when I laid her down. The soiled towels have been removed. Clean sheets have been put on. I knew the towels were thick, so I don’t know if they prevented blood from getting on the bed. Later, I will bring a new bed. Besides, this bed has other female smells, and I don’t want anyone else’s scent on the bed

They both nodded in understanding that it was time to return to Vanessa. I nodded to all three of them in my office. I then left and went to my room. Vanessa was still asleep. I took my shirt off and gently crawled into bed with her. I very carefully placed my arm over it. I made sure not to get too close to her. I did not want to get too close and hurt her.
